Guys, I just received the DORA from my dealer. I ordered redfire gt premium, 5spd manual, standard bullit rims, IUP, spoiler, shaker 500 and anti-theft system with light graphite leather. Order date is 11-19-04, with all the hold ups do you think February is about when i would get her? also, retail was 27,035, invoice was 25,036. Is that what A-plan should be? there is another price that I cant make out in my fax that says

...z/d plan 23,929

Congrats on ordering your Mustang I believe that line should read "A/Z/D Plan 23929" and it should be on your "Vehicle Order Confirmation", not your DORA.

Sam....so you have been issued a build date & vin #? If this is so, then I am definitely wondering what the heck is going on with my order that I placed on 11-1-04. I have a GT with automatic, no spoiler, and IUP and from what I have been reading about auto's and spoiler deletes jumping to the front of the order pack, I must say this has me a bit frustrated that I don't have a pull date...build date...vin #......NOTHING!!!!!! :angry:

What I received yesterday from my dealer was a sheet that states the order date of 11-19-04, the vehicle specs, retail and invoice prices for car and options, there is a section that has schedule on it, however the date is blank. at the very end of the sheet it states, "end of DORA" Sorry not an expert as some of the others are with this.

Incorrect, the order confirmation is what your dealers says they are ordering, the DORA is what Ford says they recieved as an order. The DORA is your assurance that there wasn't a typo, that the priority was correct, that it was actually submitted, etc..

 

Karpro thanks for the info,The day I ordered they gave me a vehicle confirmation sheet, I went back a week later and ask for a dora and the gave me the same paper with eacctly the same info on it, with an additional line that said c09 priced dora nc. So this is still not the dora?

 

No, that C09 code just tells Ford's system to print the DORA the following morning with their daily status report. They should have received the DORA the following day and should be able to provide you a copy.

What actually got ordered, with what priority and when. As opposed to the order confirmation which says what is supposed to be ordered.

Just got off the horn with the Ford Salesmanager. He said they have a DORA and priority order #1???? Based on what I'm reading, I don't think I believe this..... If I was a priority #1, I should have been issued something (build date, or...) between Nov. 1st and present day. P.I.T.A....

 

Well, you can't be a priority 1. You can be a 10, but 1-9 have to be set by Ford themselves, not the dealership. They are usually used when orders have problems (damaged in transit, etc)

 

That's pretty much what I figured when he told me this #1 priority stuff. He did tell me a couple of weeks ago that he has a good rep with the REP.....and was gonna do the 'ol back scratch thing? Oh well....wait, wait, wait

 

On my DORA I have a priority 30. I ordered my on 15 November and they told me it would be in by the first week of January 05. Not sure if that helps at all.

I ordered the exact same car as you, except for color, and yes the 23930.11 (is what shows on mine) is the A/Z/D Plan price. X Plan is 25037.31, which is what I got. I have not gotten my DORA, but I haven't bothered contacting my Fleet Manager yet as I was out of town. I give him a call today.

Quick question though, if my Vehicle Order Confirmation says "Priority: 10" does this mean my DORA will have the same or can Ford change this to their liking?

Also one last quesion, who do I talk to about vehicle allocations?

 

gendronj, I did notice mine had 7 nos of the VIN as well. To all you guys thanks for clarification! maybe the car will be here sooner than I thought.

Ford won't change the priority but your dealer may have. That's one of the reasons to get a DORA to confirm that nothing changed. As far allocations, talk with your dealer they're the only ones who can tell you.

I talked with my dealer who is also a good friend of my fiance and he said they don't usually get the DORA until about 2 weeks before the car arrives???
