I love my car but have put way to many miles on it... I have a few bugs that I don't have time to loose my car for a couple of weeks so I called my dealership and they will take my trade of my 05 GT in for an 06 GT... with xplan again!!!!!

I'll be getting Silver again... but this time with the 18's and spoiler delete.

I guess I can't order untill June 1st...

So your going to take a loss on the 05 so you don't have to be without your car while its being fixed? They won't give you a loaner?

This doesn't make much financial sense to me.

If you read my post you'll notice the main reson I'm doing this is because I have 22,000 miles on my car...
With the lack of GT's out there... I more than likely won't take a loss....

You're ordering an '06 because you have 22,000 miles on your '05??

Did dealer give you any idea what he might give you for your 05?

Huh??? I read this post 4 times and I still don't get it. Your car has 22,000 miles, you think you're going to trade it in for a new 06 (which hasn't even started taking orders yet, and then how long it takes after that is anyones guess but months is a good guess) and you think you won't take a loss? Are you smoking something? You're trying to trade a USED car with a ton of miles for a new car that won't be built for 4 months in an even trade? You have too many miles NOW, in 4 months you'll have even more. You're not just taking a loss, you're taking a huge loss. NEW GT's on ebay are barely reaching MSRP, and I'm buying my 05 GT for less than invoice, so a lot of people aren't paying anything near the more than new price you WANT on a used GT with 20,000 miles. This is the strangest post I've ever read. Wake up and smell the coffee man, you will NEVER be able to sell a used car with production near 200,000 units a year with 20,000 miles for the equivalent value of a new next year's model. If you think you do, you really don't understand how things work.

Just out of curiosity, how long have you had the car? And how didja rack up 22k this quick? I only ask cuz a car this new with that much milage is prolly gonna take a considerable depreciation.. but then, Im not a car salesman so I could be wrong on that one.

I don't think he ever said that the trade was going to be "straight up". I read that he'll get x-plan on the 06 and pay the difference between that and the trade. I could be wrong, but I guess that's how I read it.
