I've had my 05 Mustang GT for 2 years, here is my report.

As the thread title states I've had my Mustang for two years, and here is my two year report on the car.
As of this evening my car has 17,733.5 miles on the odometer, and in the last year the only problem I had with the car was having to replace the battery on October 10th @ 14,996 miles.

Since my last report a year ago I have made a couple of changes to my car 1-Roush front fascia, and 2-changed from the 17" Pirelli tires/chrome bullitt wheels from the 99-04 model years to chrome deep-dish wheels and new tires 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear.

I have included some pictures here...one is of the car, and the second is a picture of one of the wheels/tires I now have on the car.

Where did you get the rims if you don't mind me asking?? I have the stock 18" high polished rims that look like that and I want to keep that look, but I want to go much wider on the back. Some 18x10's is exactly what I need

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/home.do This is the company I got my wheels and tires from. I was going to order the package online and have them shipped to one of there stores, then make an appointment for installation, but when I called the shop they gave me a better deal so I went in and ordered them in person, then when they came in I went back for installation.

If you're talking about the Roush fascia, some friends of mine have a shop here in So Cal, and when they started selling Rousch parts they offered me a good deal on the part/paint and install, and since I was thinking about the Rousch fascia for awhile I decided to go ahead and save some money and rook them up on the offer.

Sorry for the short post...had a long day at work yesterday, decided to post here then it was off to bed, so here is more information on the car.
All i can say is that I still love the car after two years of basically problem-free driving.
I did have a few of the known problems w/ the 2005 Mustangs that were covered by the TSB's (popping noise in front end, skipping CD player, CEL light coming on a total of three times before the cause was found and corrected) All of these problems was in the first year I had the car.

Since then the only problem I had was with the battery going bad back in October. Took the car in and they replaced the battery under warrenty.

Other then that, the car is still as fun to drive as it was on the day I drove it home for the first time.

Mike, I've had mine for about eighteen months and have just a hair under 15k on it. I too am still enjoying it just as much today as I did when I drove it off the lot, and have had absolutely zero trouble with it. Since I took delivery in May of '05, I missed all the early TSBs.

Only thing wrong with it is the couple of dings from road debris that I'm about to get fixed.....

The fist picture you have is really neat! The cars almost don't look real. They look like little models.

I think I just found my next mod, roush front fascia. That look's great. I have about 9,000 miles on my 05 and the only problem i've had is changing the battery.

My Two Years

I've had my GT for 23 months and have 31,000 miles on the odometer. I completely love this car and look forward to driving it every day! At about 2,000 miles, I had an electronics problem related to the useless "drive by wire" setup. My dealer quickly repaired the problem and I've had no further trouble. I haven't done much in the way of mods, but I am about to install a K&N typhoon intake.

I hope all you folks are enjoying your Mustangs as much as I'm enjoying mine!

Happy new year,
Stuart

I was thinking the same thing, that that car looks so good, it doesn't even look real.

I've had my 05 GT for over 2 years and 3 months.

I purchased the first 05 GT sold from the Ford dealer here.

I've had very few issues. I had the gas tank replaced and the Shaker 500 replaced - that's pretty much the only warrantee repair done.

I've done a few mods to date and was involved in one accident (not my fault) that required close to $9000 in repairs

I have about 15K miles on the odomoeter and am still using the stock 17" Pirellis.

I can't wait for my stupid car loan to be paid off - 3 more years to go

I know every car, especially new models, have their share of problems. It seems like a lot of the negative experiences are posted and the positive ones tend to be left out because, well, we expect our cars to be reliable and probably take our reliable cars for granted. Reading all of those negative posts can make a soon to be Mustang owner, such as myself, a little nervous. With that said, I'd like to thank those of you who post their positive experiences. I look forward to my new stang more and more every day.
