I just called the automated voice thing and they said as of 5/29 I've been shipped.

Okay, how long does it take to actually get the car?

It's going to take 2 weeks for me to get insurance -- NJ stinks and I currently don't have any insurance because I sold my Honda last month.

So when should I get my car? How long from shipping to arrival?

I'm getting my car. I also changed my signature because I finally have info to add

You can sell your blood, yank your - (whoops, sorry Lorrie, that one doesn't apply to you ) Just kidding. You ordered the car a month ago and am now just realizing you have to pay for it? You'll have the down payment and your insurance premium at the same time. Sounds like a second job is coming your way

I thought about it, but with everyone talking about how long it took to get their cars, I didn't think the car would actually get here.

I figured getting/finding money would be easier than getting Ford to actually get my car to the dealer.

A collection plate seems in order here.

You could call it the "Fellser Fund" and it's purpose is to contribute to the general fund that has been created to help needy children in India which were affected by the Tsunami and /or people in the United States which would like to contribute to the Tsunami fund but can't because they need to contribute to the FMCC Fund ...

I've been thinking about it, but my goal was to come up with about 1/3 to put down. I figured I had another 2 weeks to do it. I don't know how long it takes to ship a car from Detroit to NJ, but I can drive there in a day.

My goal is to pick up the car the day it arrives at the dealership. I have to move things around.

Maybe if I agree to carry a baby for 9 months and ruin my figure (which would make me uncomfortable driving a vert, but at least I would own it, even if I didn't fit in it. The women in my family have a history of getting huge when pregnant, I'm not commenting on other women)

Maybe I could ... find out when the neighbors are going away and have a garage sale at their house. I don't own anything of value, but they have gardening tools.

I'll figure it out. Getting insurance is actually harder than getting money.

? especially if it is harder than getting money. Without money, no insurance? Now Lorrie, do you have a few "tickets" we don't know about?

I'm in NJ. I haven't had a moving violation in over 10 years and I've never filed a claim, but my insurance on this V6 vert is gonna be a little over $3,000 a year.

It's NJ.

I was paying 2000 for my HOnda S2000. Geico quoted me 6000 for that car. AIG was about the same.

It's NJ. I'm not even allowed to pump my own gas here, so it occurs to me that if I have one of those gas tank problems, I'm really in trouble because I have to rely on the guy to stand there and fill it. It's NJ.

I don't have to worry about that here Mine's paid off.

As for shipping time the ERL should have given you an ETA when it told you it was shipped.
From what I've seen shipping to arrival is anywhere from one to three weeks.
