Cool

Ok the time is almost near to buy my new Mustang.

I've been waiting for this moment since the Concept GT showed up in Detroit. The waiting is almost over. I' havn't bought a new car in years I've never been soooo excited. So any tips and suggestions are welcome.

After long delibration on the subect with my friend who is a 2005 Mustang owner (Stanger X) I have come to the conclusion that the V6 Mustang is for me. I can't afford a GT (Wish I could) in this satge in the game so I'm going for the cheaper Insurance rates and gas milege not to mention a cheaper monthly payment.

I would love to have a Legand lime Deluxe if I can get one but searching the Ford Data base comes up with nothing in my area. Is there any out there? Is that database accurate? The other color of Choice would be Wendveil Blue which may be the color I will have to settle with.

Please help a man of 27 find the car of his dreams and not get ripped off by a dealer. I'm looking to put 5 large as a down payment this should put the payment where I want it and that much of a cash down the dealer should want to make a deal. Hopefully.

Tell me what you think Mustangers.

I don't think you should settle, get the color you REALLY want. I didn't see, are you ordering a 06, or trying to find a 05? I would think you should be able to find a 05 V6 in LL. Go to your local dealer, they may do a trade with an out-of-state dealer to get your car just how you want it. Espeically if you're open on the other options besides color.

You should be able to get a good deal on an 05 V6 in October.

If your willing to travel to the Birmingham, AL area, there are 3 Legend Lime V6's shown at local dealers. Or maybe your local dealer could do a dealer transfer ???

Go to ford's site to build your stang and use zip code 35071 to see details on the 3 in my area (if your interested).

Legend Lime is a very cool colour you'll love it!

I went from Legend Lime, Sonic Blue, Minerial Grey, Yellow and finally back to Legend Lime. Very unique colour and amazing affects at Sunset, dawn etc..!!

If you have the down payment and have your heart settled on Legend Lime then why settle. I ran a dealer locate and there are a few deluxe V-6's in the Atlanta Region which covers your area I believe. There are a TON of premuim V-6's.
You could go to your local dealer and see if he can locate one for you, of course he will probably have to have one to trade back.
The other option would be to order an '06 just the way you want it. The price did not go up that much and the new Pony pkg is nice. You should be able to get a little bettrer deal on an '06 especially compared to an '05 tha thas to be located.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

There isn't as big of a difference between a V8 and V6 in insurance rates as you might think. But more importantly, you don't buy a sports car with insurance rates or gas mileage(had to put this in too). I'd wait a couple more months and buy the GT. I used to have a V6, the new GT is unlike anything Ford has ever made. Test drive them both though. See which one YOU like.

The only option if you call it that that I'm looking for is the Spoiler Delete option that ussally puts it in the Deluxe realm with out ordering the car. Finding a Legand lime Mustang with the spoiler off it is a challendge. It woud be nice to have Iup too but I think I'm stating to get alittle to specific and alot harder to find.

There is a Windveil blue car sitting right here in Charleston just like I want in options it's just not Lime. It's also been sitting there for over 2 months I'm sure they will deal on it. Might be able to get for $18,000 or less.

As for getting a GT it's not an option I can't afford the payments and gas. This will be my only car and I drive everwhere.

Thanks soo much for the info Guys. Hopefully the car I'm looking for will show up near here or the dealer can get one.

I got my V6 Premium Windveil in Feb and love it. Am averaging 21 MPG (about 20 around town and have gotten up to 25 on hwy). Have the auto and am happy with performance. I love the color and get a lot of compliments on it. I considered other colors but thought I'd tire of them. Bottom line for me was if I was going to get my first Mustang, it would be exactly what I wanted even if I had to wait for an ordered vehicle. If you really want lime, don't settle for less. Let's face it, your gonna love this car, but why have even a slight feeling of regret for cutting corners and not getting what you really wanted? Have fun!
