It's Ponies for the Indiana State Police

Just thought I'd share a few pics.

The Indiana State Police has 18 2008 Mustang GTs on the Highways. 1 for each State Police Post. The Trooper for the Indianapolis post came to our Mustang Club of Indianapolis meeting last thursday. He was a Great guy, a Mustang Lover & Really liked our cars too.

I love the stripes. Really cool for a bubblegum wrapper.

Not fair. I would never suspect a Mustang w/ Racing Stripes to be a highway patrol car.

On second thought - that's sure to bait some ricers.

Mustangs with stripes are like chum for ricers. They cannot resist taking bait!

Uh, I'm no ricer but if I saw that around here (which is a definite possibility for me), I'd be tempted to atleast get on my car a little and would probably end up with an "unsafe start" or "exhibition driving" ticket LOL.

That's borderline entrapment!

I already like driving by the local police station and giving it a little for the headers to howl a bit off the stoplight. I really like it when they are on a shift change. I've actually had them wave me down and say cool car and give me thumbs up.

I've been pulled over by a city officer for revving up my car slightly in between shifts....... clutch in, quick rev to maybe 3500rpm, clutch out and continue driving...... after making me sit and wait for about 20 minutes, he came back and gave me a verbal warning.

That bites. I guess here it's a small town thing. I've heard rumors of police escorting groups of Mustangs to a local highway late at night and letting them run the mile while they keep the highway closed. I'm hoping to get in with that bunch.

Yikes. Should have gotten pictures of the inside. Would be interesting to see how the gear is mounted.

The state police mustang where I live is alloy grey. It has no stripes and looks like a bone stock GT.

I think its funny how quickly everyone seems to slow down and get out of my way when I am cruising around town. They all think I am the state cop!

My local PD (Doraville, GA) has at least 2 new Black Stangs with police gear, 1 Marauder, and a few of Dodges (Chargers and Magnums)

Our local sheriff's department uses Chargers in all black with really black tint and black wheels. I'm not a Charger fan, but these cars look sick and mean. I mean everything is black on them, I think they even tint the lights. I almost got busted by one sitting on the side of the freeway with lights out, I didn't even see him sitting there till my friend pointed him out after we went by. Luckily I was doing 66 in a 60 so I guess he didn't bother.
