Its arrived!
Just been to Felixstowe (a port in east England) to collect my new GT, it was ordered on October 20th, built during the last week of January & has just cleared UK customs (had to pay $7500!)
Wow! What a car, I have spent the last six months reading your reaction & thoughts on the new Mustang, it is everything & more I hoped for. I have only driven it 50 miles so far, all seems well, I even filled the tank without a hitch! It rained the entire journey, the wipers are great (they will need to be over here!) Best thing so far? The exhaust note & engine sound, spot on.
The only thing is, I have had to drop it off at an American car specialist to have a few modifications carried out to the lights so it can be legally registered here. When this is done I have to submit it for what is known as the SVA test, the car can then be registered & driven.
So I have picked it up today but can't really drive it for another week  in the meantime here are some pics.

Seriously though...what needs to change to be legal in the UK?
Thanks for all the replies & the 'nanners
The lights require most attention, you must have rear indicators showing amber & not red (the reverse lamps are used) A rear fog lamp is compulsory, side indicator repeaters are needed & the amber front marker lamps can only be white. The exhaust has to be shortened because the tips protrude slightly too much. It is really important that the job is done well & not detract from the look of the car. Also it is easy to damage the body control module if not done correctly.
Left hand drive is no problem really, the roads twist & turn a lot and you can often see better from the left anyway. Long journeys are generally on freeway style roads & it is not an issue. It wouldn't be the same with RHD!!

That's awesome! Freshly laundered too.
Where in England are you?
It looks like the license plate bracket says McCarville Ford. Did you get it delivered from a Long Island, New York dealer?
Have fun and thanks for the pix!

Yay! Great to see another Stang finding its way "here" (well close enough).
Please get pics of what the mods look like. Except for the exhaust tip the same modifications need to be done here so it'd be nice to see how much work it is. I don't think rear fog lights are mandatory (we don't get that much fog) but, rear license plate lighting is a must.

Congrats on your new ride.
I'm sure it will be almost as fun as riding in the back of London Black Car.
Some of those turns on/off Bishopsgate near Liverpool station always make me feel like I'm on a roller coaster.
Best of all, in the heat of summer, you'll be cruising along in air conditioned comfort, while someone somewhere is stuck in the tube when the Cental Line is shut down!
Have fun!
