Just got the call! It's in, and will be picked up tonight or tomorrow. I know, I know...pix will certainly follow. 55 degrees on Long Island today, but downhill for the next six (6) days. Need to drop the top today!!

You have to pick it up today, you can't just let it sit overnight. You won't sleep tonight if you don't pick it up today. I'll tell you what I'll go pick it up for you

Congratulations on your new toy

To tell you the truth, I've been told by my wife, the dealer, and other friends that I look just like that guy!

Eastern Long Island. Ordered from Riverhead Ford-Linclon Mercury. They have been great. Ask for Chris O.

congrats and who cares about the temp, drop the top. I don't want to hear whining about 50 degree temps when I am dealing with less than 10 degree temps.

OK, here's the latest. Went to the dealer last night to do all the paperwork & listen to them try to sell me everything but the Brooklyn Bridge. Saw the car, it was NOT prepped, but I did drive it back & forth about 25 feet. Lowered & closed the roof, and let the engine growl a bit. Finances are getting completed today (which is good because it's raining now, and it will turn to snow later today). Car will be prepped tomorrow, and I'll pick it up tomorrow night. I know...pix will follow!

Hey Matt (LIParothed) and Roy (yur1279), it's nice to see some more fellow LI'ers here!

Matt....how does she look? How does it compare to past GT convertibles? I ordered my Satin Silver 05 GT vert on Saturday....can't stand the wait now!

We'll have to have some sort of LI meet this summer.

It looks incredible! In fact, if you think it stinks waiting (and it does), it really stinks knowing it's in, you've been in it, and you're just waiting to take it home!! Well it's now snowing on the East End...not exactly you're "rag top" weather. Can't wait to get it home (hopefully tomorrow) and get pix forwarded to you all. Have to be the first Vert owner in New York, or at least on Long Island.

Also, compared to previous Verts, the top closes much easier & neater. The latches lock & release much easier than prior models, and the roof collapses in a much neater finished manner. I did not order the boot, and really don't think it needs it.
