Interiorly Depressed!

I'm pretty P.O.'d over the fact that according to the dealer, the factory will not install the Red Leather upgrade package in the Sonic Blue Metallic '05 GT. I've had this combination in my head for months now and after putting in my order at my local Ford dealer, he calls me back 2 weeks later saying that the factory will not combine the two. This Is What's In My Head And This Is What I Want!!! After countless visits to the '05 page on this site, trying to imagine other color combinations, no other combination works as well for me as the Red Leather In the Sonic Blue. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this accomplished? I have to give the dealer an answer... yesterday. :bang:

Most would agree thats an ugly combo which is why it's not available. Im not crazy about the red, too many people are gonna have it because its available. I would be more upset about lack of 18"s and the blue leather.
Anyway your options are few;
1. Try to do a dealer swap, chances are slim to none this early.
2. Get it done at a custom shop ($$$$$$)
3. Put in some racing seats and or seat covers. ($$$) :R:

Once you buy the car, check ebay for seats and door panels, unfortunately there will be guys who drove it like they stole it, meaning salvage parts will be available.
You might have to wait a few months, but you'll get the combination you want.

Try an aftermarket seatmaker, such as Recaro or Sparco. Recaro makes some normal looking seats, and I'm sure you can request a color combo...

I don't think the green and red looks that bad either .But this is the way I look at it ....if the customer wants it and you got it ,give it to them .Why possibly lose a sale if the customer is willing to pay for it . :scratch:

I personally think your best option would be to have it done by a shop (found couple articles showing about 500-1000 to do seats),but you might try doing it yourself? Maybe buy some old red leather seat from wreck and try it first....

i don't think the red seats are available in Sonic blue, windveil blue, Yellow or Lime, probably because they were deemed to not be good color combos. Not quite sure why ford wouldn't let someone special order it though.

It would only be speculation until prices are released.
