Interior Overheating

My Dad has an 09 GT/CS convertible that when driven in traffic has an interior that overheats. The heat comes through the footwells and through the parking brake opening. It's a ton of heat too. It only started doing this just a couple days ago. Anyone else have this problem?

Plugged cats? Probably too new for that to happen. If a hot summer day and stuck in traffic with other cars around, I would say it is normal. I know my Hurst shifter gets quite hot after slow traffic for a while.

I talked to him today and after a drive he said it wasn't doing it. We are just going to keep an eye on it.

thats happened to me pretty much since i had the car. i just chalked it up to poor insulation. it comes and goes but it pretty much is always there in traffic. once i put the a/c on upper and lower vent, takes care of the problem
