Hey all, I currently go through Erie Insurance with full coverage and for a new mustang it is going to be approx. 240 a month or so with a 500 comprehensive and 1000 collision deductable. I have a completely clean record BUT im 20, lol Does anyone think I can find a cheaper place? I have looked at Progressive and Geigo and they are outrageous! Thanks for any help!

Just keeping trying every online quote site. Some will be higher than others, some lower.

I HAVE STATE FARM--THEY WERE CONSIDERABLY LESS EXPENSIVE THAN GEICO--I FIRST GOT INSURANCE THROUGH MY PARENTS COMPANY AND THAT SAVED ME MONEY. GOOD LUCK!

Unfortunately, at your age insurance for a Mustang is going to be expensive. Keep shopping around, and good luck.

Is it really worth getting a Mustang if you have to pay nearly $3,000 a year for insurance alone?

If I were you, I'd save that money and get the Stang in a few years when you can afford it.

PS. Why don't you up the deductables to 2K if they let you? It'll pay for itself after a couple of billing cycles.

i use progressive and they've been really great. my insurance went down 35% this year for my wife and i. we have full coverage on 2 cars: 250,000\500,000\100,000 (or something similar to that) and it was 1227.00 for a year.

it should only go up a bit on the mustang...i hope. lol.

If you are away at college, listing that address for the vehicle may give you a better quote-that helped a lot with my oldest son -since he is in a less populated area at school. Also, different companies target different age groups so someone's good company, may be bad for you. The area you live in makes a difference also, I saw some great quotes on the forum, but I'll never get that in S Florida!
