Instructions to disassemble dash / doors.

So I'm sitting drinking coffee this morning and thinking about a new GPS touchscreen for the 'Stang. I remembered I had 4 Kenwood 5x8's afterfactory's that I removed from my Expedition before I traded it in. I thought "if I only knew how hard it would be to disassemble the doors to swap the stock speakers, I bet they would sound great in the 'Stang".

Now if anybody has used Crutchfield for a new stereo, you know that they include a set of "Master Sheets" to help you, step by step, how to replace speakers and dash. I had Master Sheets from the Expedition but none for the Mustang...

I thought I might call Crutchfield and see how much they would charge for a Mustang set. While browsing their website for the phone number, I saw a link to a "sample" Master Sheet.

For fun I clicked on it and guess what???

It was the set for the 05 Mustang!!!

I verified that both rear deck and doors should fit my 5x8's...and now I had instructions to disassemble the doors. It did NOT say how hard it would be getting to the rear bolts on the deck speakers but it was do-able, just frustating.

Now the 25w stock deck speakers are 220w Kenwoods!

After listening to a couple of songs, I have absolutly NO reason to consider an additional Sub. My 'Stang has some now!

Thanks Crutchfield...you guys came through and you didn't even have to try!

Here is a link to the sheets!

Sweet. Not that I had a problem with the factory set up. Now if I ever decide to throw some speakers in it will be an easy deal. Thanks bro.
