I'm sorry for your troubles out of the car April. Defintely take it to EM and have them check it out first thing monday or even tomorrow.
Oh and I dont think gottaluvastang is going to give you anymore problems..... at least for 24 hours
Everyone needs to lay off the v6 bashing or else i wont even give warnings or 24 hour cooling off periods (i.e. temp banning). Next times its straight out the door with no warning. We are sick of it.

There is nowhere to check transmission fluid on that engine- unless us two and the book are missing something! Off I go, they are open tomorrow...Got a stablefull of fresh ponies there too to fawn over while I wait!

The tranny is sealed.
You would be surprised how awful it can feel if something in the shift valving is off and not actually hurting anything. Tons of Explorers are on recall to get it fixed, that one is a quick fix for them. Its rare these days that trannies get rebuilt, replacing components is cheaper for Ford then paying to rebuild them. Trannies are hard to diagnose. I could be a number of things.

Even with the malfunction did you manage to smoke the minivan or did the Cobras have to slink off and hide under the car??? If they are missing check under the frame.

I hope you can get this taken care of with the least amount of pain possible.
