#21
I know once he said he Moved me up from my Priority #10 to a lower number I felt he was lying.He said he could move me to Priority#8 or #1.....Then I started to worry,that was on Fri laborday weekend.So that Sat I called Fords 800# and still was C/U....So I called about 50 dealers and none wanted to give me the 06 Stang Gt at X-Price untill I called the Last dealer and the salesmanager said he will give me the 06 GT at INVOICE.(I took my time in getting there,about 2 hours getting there,dammm was i slow lol should have took me 30 mins lol}
So I really didnot get what I really wanted but I am very happy with the price that i got.
2006 Stang Gt Silver (really wanted Black}
Automatic (really wanted Manual,but autos ok with the 5 speed}
Shacker1000 (really wanted shacker 500}
Interior upgrade with red seats
Sticker $30,125
Invoice $27,878..................Not a bad savings otherwise I would still be C/U as of today.....JohnnyT

I have to add another 'Ed is great' to the list. I had ordered from a local dealer on X-Plan and was told beginning of December arrival which then became January or February. I canceled and reordered on X-Plan from Ed. According to ERL my car is now on a train with anticipated arrival at Ed's dealership this week.

I will jump on the Ed bandwagon when he accepts my X-Plan on a new GT-500

Somehow I think that Ford will not offer x-plan on the Shelby [or D Plan so I can order one }.

Mr. Ed really is something else. Should've seen the look on my local dealers face when I went to get my downpayment back and told him another dealership was saving me almost 2000.00 for the same thing.

Here's another bit of much-deserved Ed praise to add to the pile:
I've had my Premium Tungsten GT coupe with ICAP on order from my local dealership since the end of June.
My dealer could not give me any information on my status other than "it's on hold."
I could tell that he was honestly doing everything within his power to be helpful, but I knew the situation was out of his hands.
Since I was in an accident in mid-June, my truck was totaled, and I had been driving a rental @ $750/mo. This was getting very costly.
Then a week ago, I talked to ERL for the first time and found out that, as of Oct. 6, my car was C/U.
After hearing that bit of grim news, I knew I could not wait any longer.
So, I got in touch with Ed, explained my situation (and my frustrations), and asked him if there were any cars built—anywhere in the U.S.—that fit my list of criteria.
Witin 10 minutes, he called me back, informing me that there were 2 exact matches—one in Cincinnati and one in Georgia.
I asked him to put a hold on the GT in Cincinnati, and Ed proceeded with the necessary paperwork.
I received his bill of sale by fax within a few minutes, and all the paperwork by FedEx within a day.
He also researched MD sales tax and tags prices for me, and he sent me all the registration forms I need to fill out at my local DMV.
He even tossed in a Galloping Pony Bullitt cheychain.
So, yesterday, I flew to Cincinnati, picked up my baby, and drove her 540 miles back home.
Man, what a nice road trip that was!!!
Will have pics of my baby up on here soon.
This man was able to do for me in under 2 hours what my local dealer could not do in 3.5 months.
He has proven that there are still people left in this country that know the value of customer service.
And not to sound trite, but he truly does go above and beyond the call of duty.
Why?
Because (to paraphrase) "I enjoy the satisfaction I get from helping people out."
Thank you ever so much Ed.
You truly are my hero! :worship:
So, to reiterate the point of this thread, if YOU are still without a pony in your stable, do yourself a favor and get in touch with Ed. You'll be glad you did.

Glad you made it home ok with that big smile on your face. I assume everything went ok at the delivering dealer. Thanks for the kind words and have a great day. Let's see some pics.

Everything went smooth as butta at the Cincinnati dealership.
It was funny, though, because as soon as I got out of the cab, I turned around, and a salesman was hovering over me like a vulture.
He was standing right next to my car, and said, "HELLO, there! What can I do for YOU today," in that overly-zealous/desperately-need-to-make-quota-for-the-month-or-I'll-be-working-at-7-11 voice.
I pointed to my baby and said, "Nope. Just here to pick her up.
The look on this guy's face was classic.
It was a little bit this ---->
mixed with a dash of this ---->
with a side of this ---->
and this for dessert ---->
I walked up to the front desk, and announced that I was here to pick up the Tungsten GT out front.
The guy handed me the keys and said, "Here you go. You're all set."
I said, "You don't need to see any paperwork, or license, or anything??"
"Yeah, better get a copy of your license, just in case," he said.
Nice.
Perhaps I oughta grow a beard and go back to that dealership in a few months, announcing that I'm here to pick up the GT.
Anyway, so they made a copy, and off I went.
Spent a total of 5 minutes in the joint.
As for pics, I will upload some soon, possibly today.

Yeah, I haven't been to 2005Stang for some time now.
Actually, I just tried to check in a few days ago, and the site seemed like it was down.
But yeah, I finally got my Bettie Page, and I will get some pics up very soon!

Thanks!
I farkin' LOVE this car.
I've never owned, nor have I driven, anything like it.
My previously owned auto list goes like this (in order from most recent):
2002 Ford Explorer XLT
1997 Chevy Cavalier Z24 <---- biggest POS ever
1990 Hyundai Excel
1981 Ford Escort
I definitely loved my truck, but after the nolvelty of being able to drive over stuff wore off, it really wasn't all that much fun to drive.
And the other cars in that list...fahgeddaboutit.
