Now all I need is to decode the non obvious codes.
Does anyone know what these are?

how did you get your dora already? And will you be keeping the cobra as well?

 

Priority 10 is the highest that can be issued. ( Priority build) However at this point it dosen't mean much.....When cars are being scheduled that priority will be mixed in with other dealers in the que and built in an order that the computer determines.

 

I have been at the dealer many times getting things for my New Cobra. I have been #1 on their 05 list since December of 03.

I plan on keeping the Cobra... my 05 will be as close to an exact match as you can get.....

congrats I really plan on paying off the mach and getting an se ie. cobra or shelby or boss. I really think the boss will be the se .... the bullit will be the first with a regular motor..... then the shelby with either a blown or na 5.4..... And the march time frame for the se coincides with what my sales manager of the dealership that sponsors us says.

 

I ordered mine this past week, and was given a priority 10 also. The fleet manager mentioned that it is the highest priority with which a dealer can order a car. She also mentioned that they were given an alottment of 20 '05 Mustangs to order for the year (I'm not sure if she mean't Job 1 only). My order was car #7 for their alottment. No deposit was required. She would only want a deposit if I was ordering an exotic car like a GT, or a Mustang that I wanted to have delivered with special aftermarket items like tires and wheels. The car is mine if I want it when it comes in. If I don't take it they'll keep it for their inventory. I should get my DORA receipt this week. I've leased cars with them before and trust them.

 

Cars haven't been allotted yet, and I find it very hard to believe they have 7 orders for the 05 already. I think your dealer was giving you a little but congrats on the order.

No, he says in the last line of his post that he doesn't have his DORA yet. And I know for a fact that allotments have not been made yet. Therefore, since the dealer lied about that, I can make a resonable deduction that she lied about the number of orders. Thanks for reading. :notnice:

 

The DORA should tell you what they have ordered. Mine shows they ordered 2 v6 mustangs before mine.

I really didn't like the fact they ordered thiers before mine.

How do I know they ordered theirs first?

The DORA shows both orders from the dealer with the dealer order #. Theirs is 1800 #'s lower than mine. Mine is 39xx and the v6's are 21xx.

The good thing is mine is a priority 10 and thiers are 99.

 

As far as allotment I read on this board that for roll out dealers were being allotted 2.

I went to my Ford dealer today to place an order, the manager I am working with told me, that he was being alloted two for roll out.

I am going back Tuesday to place an order.

Onlything that may suck is if every dealer's first few 05's got a priority of 10,,,,,then your pretty much in the same boat as the others :scratch:

No, not all do it. It's up to the individual dealers as to whether they want to take pre-orders or not. They know they'll sell the cars they get, there's no need for them to reserve them for certain people. Most will though, so phone ahead and ask.

 

I don't believe that 7 '05 Mustang orders on the westside of L.A. (Santa Monica) is too far off base. There is a rather large and concentrated population demographic around here.

As for whether cars have been allotted for dealers, I don't know. I don't claim to be an expert on that. Maybe is was b.s., maybe not. I'm not overly concerned if the car I ordered doesn't arrive with the first round of 2005's. If it arrives late, no worries. I'm patient. I just want to make sure I get the car I want, which is a: redfire GT premium with medium parchment interior, concept style wheels, spoiler delete, 5 spd manual, IUP, side airbags and a security system. B)

 

7 cars for LA might not be too far off base. But it is a FACT that the cars have not been allotted. I figure if shes lying about that, shes lying about the other too.
