Talking

I just ordered my 2006 GT through Paul Bowers (Karpro). I'll have to fly to NY and drive the car back to GA, but it will be worth the $3K in savings for getting it at invoice...thanks Paul!

I'm getting the following:

Tungsten GT Premium Coupe with Dark Charcoal interior
5spd Manual Transmission

Spoiler Delete (make way for the ducktail!)
Interior Upgrade (18G)
Side Airbags
Active Anti-Theft
18" "Bullitt Style" Wheels (64W)
Wheel Locking Kit

On a side note, my co-worker (also named Andy) is getting pretty much the SAME car, except with an automatic transmission. Same colors and everything. He's a good friend, so I don't mind...though he did try to BRIBE Paul to get ahead of me in the order queue.

I should get my DORA in the mail from Paul in a few days or so...then I begin the long, long wait, and struggles with the Evil Robot Lady. :notnice:

Anyway, I'm psyched!

Andy

Were you given an idea when the "Late Availability" is supposed to be?

I went with the fanblades but made the dealer promise that he'd switch them to the 64W if they become available before I'm serialized.

I want to be able to drive this vert with the top down this year. If "late availability" means I wouldn't take delivery until December or later, I'd look pretty crazy driving with the top down in winter!

Just FYI the wheels are not the reason for the long wait. Since Karpro's dealership sells all Ford vehicles at invoice, they have a long line of people waiting. The wait is due to the 15-20 people in line ahead of me, including holdover 2005 orders.

Nobody really knows when the 64W wheels will be available, but I'd hope it would be before the midpoint of the model year.

Oh, BTW, here are the list of mods I'll definitely be making to this car:

Immediately: Ducktail, SLP Loudmouths

A little later (3-6 months): 4.10s, CAI, tune
