I used the info here in the forum, and wowed my local salesman.hey assured me that I could use my X-Plan price if I ordered the car new, so I ordered my '05 Mustang in my favorite color..black.Here is a scan of my order form.They took my number and told me that I should expect my car around October - November. The dealership ordered two Gt's and one was black, so I hope they build mine at the same time.

Thnx.I really wanted the red leather interior, but didnt have any idea what it would have cost me.I on a tight budget and am lucky that I finally convinced my wife I could afford it.....Here is a pc pic of what it should look like..

Don't forget to take off the body-colored moldings on the rocker panel and under the front and rear bumpers.

 

This is my first new car, and it's much more exciting than any Christmas when I was a child. I am sleeping a little easier now that I know that at least I am in the system and waiting for a VIN. Worst case scenario, I'll have it in the fall when the black wont be as hot lol. Thanx guys for all the info. It made the sales guys cut the Bull and get to business. i didnt even have to leave a deposit, but I left $100 anyway.

 

Not to mention, you gotta scale those wheels down... those are 17's there... the V6 has the 16's. The ones you have there are really big... almost look like 18's.

 

Here's a real quick chop I did with the moldings taken off and the wheels changed to 16's. This is more like what your car will look like. Congrats, by the way. Black was my second choice.

 

Yours will also have white rocker panel stripes.

Congrats, I recently ordered my Sonic Blue GT and got a similar response from the dealer. I had to leave a deposit, but he assured me of the X-Plan price...inwriting of course. Plus I just got my PIN from my uncle, so it seems that Ford will be accepting the X-Plan discount on the '05s. SWEET!!
