I'm looking to purchase a Legend Line GT as soon as they become available. My question is; should I go to a dealer and try to order the car I want or am I better off having them search for it? Also, is there anyplace out there selling 2005 Mustang merchandise(shirts, hats, etc.) now?

You are definately better off just ordering. Searching won't do a dealer any good. Even if they find you one, the other dealer isn't going to trade it to them, at least not early on.

 

A dealer is not obligated to sell or swap any of their cars to another dealer. If a model is a hot seller, like the 05 stang will be, most dealers will not be willing to give up an easy to sell car unless the other dealer swaps them another hot selling car.

Also, early on the 05 Stangs will be on allocation to the dealers, which may also make swaps unattractive.

 

yea i was wondering that myself. when i to order mine, if they dont have one in the dealer with all the options i have they are going to have to build one or look for one that i want from other dealers?

 

Ebay is the only place I have seen Tshirts and hats. I wish we could get a Mustang Source Tshirt soon

Order it now, you'll get it about 8 weeks after the production of the color starts, which is the typical production > dealer time. If you don't, you'll only be waiting longer.

 

I was just at the Mustang Club of America's Grand National show in Springfield, Illinois, and several vendors had t-shirts and merchandise featuring the '05. I didn't actually buy any, and I don't remember who the dealers were, but the stuff does exist, so theoretically, you should be able to locate it. Try an internet search?
