I have a confession...

I was driving in traffic, and stopping at lights, and starting again.. over and over. Rowin' the gears, exercising the left leg...

I am unbelievably happy with the choice of wanting a 5 speed. I can't explain it, I just love havin' it in Awesome.

That's all I really wanted to say. Laters!

some like a manual, some dont, some are indifferent...I for one think it adds to the fun of driving these cars. I overextended my knee at work a like 10 yrs ago, it swells up/bugs me once or twice a year and the clutch can be literally 'a pain' at times- but even then, no regrets...someday if it gets too bad I may eat those words, but not yet

I enjoy driving my manual trans car too, and I'm sure I will have even more fun with the MGW shifter I just put in while the car is inside for the winter.

I totally understand.

Removed my spoiler the other day to prep for the body shop (no spoiler ftw! ). Drove out, agreed on price and whatnot but they can't get to it until Monday. So I say ok, I'll just but some plastic body caps in the holes and drive it around for a couple days. Yeah...no go. Been raining all week. Stuck driving a auto Civic back and forth.

Never been so bored in my entire life.

the wifes is a auto, she enjoys it...she tried the stick, and hated it...between the stalling/tiresmoke/bucking bronco thing, it just was NOT something she wanted to do, even in emergency, let alone daily...then again, her favorite car prior was a escort, because it had a sunroof?

I have an Auto becuase of the Wife thing. While I would prefer a stick I do still love my Auto, it's one heck of a "slushbox" and still a lot of fun with my TCI ratchet shifter.

Every time my buddy rides in my car (he has a 5 speed), he tells me he wishes he had gotten an auto!

To bad you can't easily go back and forth!

Tim

My whole life I've had cars I've purchased for utility/commuting and other cars bought mainly for fun. If it's bought for fun, it definitely has a stick...

just think some day soon we car say "nothing like a six speed".

I fixed the whole wife things also. I told her not to drive it. She can drive her five hundred awd limited or her caliber r/t.

Personally, 6 speed doesn't have the same ring to it as 5 speed, which doesn't seem to have the same ring to it as "4 on the floor." We're getting away from flowing names for technological/speed advances

I usually do the same

Plus I had to wait for 5 months to a Mustang with manual transmission from our only dealer over here while he had 5-6 with automatic transmission on the yard ready to sell.
