Just got back from the Dealer. He had a Performance White GT Premium on order with exact options I wanted. $1000 down and it's mine when it comes in. He said 4 to 6 weeks. They also do custom work and I will have them put JBA Headers, exhaust and 19" wheels on when it comes in. Got the red leather interior. What color stripes should I put on... Black, Redfire or silver???? I think I want to have them painted then 2 coats of clear coat.

He had a nice silver custom GT with black stripes (was on ebay) and alot of V6's there. I paid MSRP. Metro ford Raynham, MA.

That will be nice if he actually gets it in on time.

Thanks Mike, nice car, love the color. How do you think those charcoal stripes would look on white? Are they decals, how do you like them?

The stripes on Mike's (Orthoguy) car look great.
I have seen them up close and personal. The coolest thing
about getting vinyl is that you can change it in a couple of years
or just remove them completely.

in theory maybe you could remove them, but I don't think so. I bought my '95 laser red GT when it was 3 years old, and it's plain to see where the previous owner had a bra on the car from the slight difference in paint fading. But if your car was never in the sun, then yeah, you could take the stripes off a couple years down the road.

You could prolly go with a different color on the stripes and maybe a touch wider to cover where the removed stripes were.

If the stripes were removed and the the main section had ofcourse faded, you would have a cool custom look with stripes the same color, only darker...depending on color of car ofcourse.

Oh, and congrats on the order.

Wow, I like the charcoal on white! :bang: Decisions...

My husband likes the redfire stripes but I don't know if it would be too much with the red interior. Black might be nice too.

1st of all, there's no such thing as too much Red!!!
2nd, just keep in mind that you'll be putting a metallic stripe over flat paint, some might not like the look of that. Personally I like it better than putting a flat stripe over metallic paint (the reverse) Hope your car arrives safe and soon.

Congrats on your order. May you have a short wait. Might I suggest Torch Red or a red similar to the interior red color? I think that would look sweet. JMO

I would love to see a picture of both torch and redfire stripes on white. I went to the stripe painter but its not the same as seeing a picture of a real car.
