Cool I am officially out of the market for a 11'-13' Mustang!!

This weekend I picked up a 07 Vista Blue Mustang GT!! I had been looking at the 11'-13' V6, but I just liked the 05-09 so much better. It only has 31600 miles on it!! My only issue is it is an auto ( wifes car).

Congrats! it's gorgeous. I don't blame you one bit- I was saying yesterday that I love my 05 so much I might just put a new motor in it instead of buy a new car (hopefully that will be awhile- mine only has 45K miles on it). I know it's a personal taste thing, but the 05-09s, to me, are the best designed GTs ever built- Ford nailed it, aesthetically speaking, with that car. I'm convinced that it will end up being a landmark design. I kept trying to talk myself into a 12 or 13, but I just can't deal with the rear end. I'm super curious about the 15s, because that's what's going to be the deciding factor for me.

Best of luck & I'm sure your going to love the car, the V8 was the way to go.
I agree with the above, 05-09 is a pure design, 10+ it gets confusing. I'm at almost 200K, still runs great, but plan a 5.4 3V swap in the future, this way I can still run with the new ponies, for a lot less!!

Congrats on the new car! Love the color and nice to see it with a black interior instead of the usual dove grey like mine.

congrats- I kinda like the color too

I loved my vista blue 06 gt stick so much I decided after seeing the '10 that I knew what my next new mustang was going to be, and a identical 09gt has been sitting in my garage for 2 1/2 years now, up to 4.3 miles I think now from moving it every couple weeks... if the 06 outlasts me, the kids will have a nice one to auction off, otherwise eventually it will be my 'next new mustang', hopefully many years from now...
my wifes summer car is a vista blue 07 pony automatic, shes only put about 15k on hers, my 06 has 45k or so, with a lot of hard 1/4s in there...

LOVE these cars, especially the stickshift with the V8 exhaust note- sheer music, even >6 years after finally taking delivery (was a 5 month wait that included my first ever ordered car getting smashed by the careless hauler in the dealers lot, having to reorder- couldnt even get a friggin testdrive!!!)
Anyways, even after a long day, sore feet/sore knees, sore back/hard to get into the car, push the clutch, turn the key and it all just goes away...a car should not be this much fun to drive

I sincerely hope the 2015 is as desirable as the 05-09s were to me, but am car poor already, dont plan on adding any more. I sure like the new rearend on the '13, but its still not a 'gotta have it' looks thing for me... cant wait to see the 2015, the rough clay mockup pics floating around look pretty good, but you just never know till the sun shines on it for real...

IMHO the body lines on the 10-12 do not flow like the they do on the 05-09.

Congrats on the new pony! LOL, your driveway looks like ours, filled with Mustangs. I just traded in a 2008 Vista Blue Shelby GT with only 5800 miles on my 2012 Boss. Your new pony is beautiful.

So you don't like my new Boss do you!?

trade-in

Congrats on the new BOSS!! If you could put the power train of the BOSS in the 05-09 body, it would be perfect.

Honestly I'm on the fence about doing the same for my girlfriend. We've been eyeing the 11 V6s but at the same time there is a local performance white 08 GT that is 3 grand cheaper.. same HP, more torque and then the exhaust of my 05 she loves.

Either way great find, congratulations!

OP, i just went thru the same thing. I was looking at 2012 new mustangs. Mostly the V6 though, GT was a little too expensive for me. I ended up finding an 07 GT with 40k on it. Left with it from the dealer for 16000. Im happy i got it. The V8 is so worth it in these cars. And yes, the 05-09 is the best looking model IMO. Its the perfect balance of retro and new age look. I love it!!!!

Nice car, good luck with it. Love the 05-09s but don't dislike the newer ones either.

FWIW, dcpirani, I love your new Boss, that thing is hot.

I cant take credit for the Boss. It belongs to SoFlaBoss. Our new GT is in the original post.
