Hello, i want to replace stock shifter on my 08 gt with Hurst billet comptetition plus shifter. Any thoughts ? I ve read some reviews and are a few complains like rattle and became sloopy in time. And also problem with finding reverse. It s possible that a company like hurst to offer a shifter with such issues ?

IMHO a company like Hurst with their reputation wouldn't intentionally make a defective product, but anything man made will have problems from time to time. My guess is some of the reported problems come from a DIY expert that didn't get something lined up correctly. If I bought one I would have a licensed mechanic install it in an effort to forgo any problems.

I've had the Hurst shifter "non billet" since 2007 and have had no problems with it. It is quite a bit harder to move than the factory shifter due to it's 40% throw reduction which increases shift effort. I've had no vibration issues but have noticed slight looseness. I checked it out and can only find the factory shift lever bolt has slight wear in it. Of coarse Ford doesn't sell the bolt separately. You have to buy the whole OEM shifter according to the parts salesperson I talked to.

I have had one for a few years now. Actually just sold it because I updated the tranny and I couldn't use it. It was great compared to the stock one. Get one and you won't be disappointed.
