Well I went to see my salesman at Ford today and ordered my 2005 Mustang. It was funny because as I went in the sky was absolutely fine and then as soon as I walked in the building and sat down it started monsoon-ing outside and all the salesmen ran inside sopping wet. It's like I was totally lucky to get in there just in time. I sat down at a table right next to a 2004 Silver Mustang and I had all my stuff ready. I typed out all the options and order codes for my Mustang, exactly how I wanted it. I think he was relieved cause he made a copy of my forms and my list and it made it ten times easier on him. But there was one point where I was questioning him about making sure the color accent (red leather) isn't on there and he was telling me that it came with the premium GT or something. So then he went and asked his manager and his manager told him that it didn't. He came out and changed the subject and then I asked him if I was right and he was like yeah, you can get it without. I was thinking in my head, yeah that's what I thought...I didn't want that much red (that would be hard on the eyes and the stomach). So basically, he didn't have to do any sales talk about options because I did all the knowledgable yapping. Lmao. And he looked at my credit and I he didn't have me put a down payment down, I was like "Are you sure?" And he said, "yep!" So I was shocked and happy at the same time. He wrote A-Plan on the order sheet and we both signed and dated. So here's my order...I just hope it doesn't get messed up...I worry too much...

everyone yells at me for that, haha. I know how to drive stick, but with all the nutty backed up traffic on the way to and from work, I'd wanna die with a stick. I might have gotten one if not for the new five speed auto tranny. I find an automatic more luxurious in a way.

I had a simaler thing happen today as well, I paid off the Hybrid, and when i got home the phoe was blinking (the dealer called) ,and I called him back. he told me to come in so I could order my car. He knew that I had issues with the red but had no idea what I was talking about,untill he read the order guide that ford sent to the dealer,however he did get it squared away!!!!!!!

Yeah I totally understand. Although the four seasons in Ohio are Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Construction. That's always fun cause they are taking the whole warm season to patch what winter left behind. LOL

I have to wait nine more months.

Oh and everbody tells me to get an auto for the following reasons:

1. This would be my first manual.

2. Atlanta traffic. :shock:

3. Would tame the car a little. Yeah right.

So I say get what you want.

 

Atlanta traffic is all you need to know to make that decision. I was in Chicago traffic jams on several occasions last week. No way would a stick be do-able as a daily driver. I guess that is why I don't live in a big city. A stick shift rules as long as you don't have to deal with traffic. Even if you are new to driving, you can learn a stick.
