dont forget about the 25K MR2 Spyder!! with its awe insipring
138 hp @ 6400 rpm
125 lb.-ft. @ 4400 rpm

check out all that torque
!!!!
what would 1 mortal being do with it all?!?!
The MR2 is a completely different car than the Mustang. More of a sports car than the Mustang.[/b][/quote]
Exactly right.

The MR2 is a riot to drive on a twisty road, but not a golf cart, more of a go cart on steroids. It is a fun little car, but can only compare to the Mustang GT in skid pad performance, and is better at breaking.
But the Mustang GT will flat smoke it in every other category. B)

i love that glove compartment the MR2 has to protect you from the engine
The engine is in the back in the mr2. My friend has one and i enjoyed riding in a golf cart more. It is annoying rough ride and it is very underpowered. I normally give respect for other sporty little cars but i just was very turned off by the mr2. The s2000 is more of a shot in the right direction but i wasn't crazy about that one when i drove it either.

$37,500 approx for a fully loaded S2000

id rather get a tbird or a Cobra convertible

37K + is a little steep for a 2.2litre engine

if i spend 40K i want something that doesnt sound like me farting into a coffee can

You gotta understand that this 2.2 litre engine has the highest horsepower per displacement in the entire industry (at least it did about a year ago, I am not sure if something in the past year has beat it). 240 hp. out of a 2.2 engine is pretty impressive. The car itself is also in a completely different class than the Tbird (boulevard cruiser as Ford puts it) and the Muscle car Cobra Convertible. Think of it more as a Miata on some serious steriods. It's meant for the racetrack and the twisty roads, not stop and go drag preformance (although it's no slouch in that either) but in the overall driving experience.

Also keep in mind that the MSRP for the car is $32,950, and it comes fully loaded. The options for this car are things such as: dust cover, optional hard top, titanium shift ****, extra speakers for the headrests, cargo nets, different color soft tops, and super upgraded radio systems (xm with 8 disc changer). So to call it a 37,500 car really isn't fair. It's like saying the New Mustang GT is a 30,115 car, which it is with every option, even though it lists for "fully loaded" at 24,995.
