What is a dealer processing fee? What is processed in the "fee" other that a NIVCS form for the state or provincial registries. If a customer is buying the car outright and is not using Ford Credit why is the dealer processing fee required. Seems to me that it is an easy add on rip off for the dealer to pass on to the customer.

I have no idea what a dealer processing fee is. We do not charge any additional fees except for state license, tax, title, and a $55 doc fee which is regulated by our state. We only charge it fo rpeople we are actually doing the license processing for. If a dealer charges a dealer processing fee, that = extra profit.
