John said they will make ~39,000 by the end of 2004. That was from Sept to Dec (4months). Take that times 3 and you only get 117,000 mustangs per 12 months. I realize the beginning was slow due to starting something new. Do you think they will catch up enough to make 180,000 cars?
I assumed that they would make ~180,000 2005 Mustangs. So I am guessing it would mean Model Year.

Its really hard to say, b/c of all of the variables, but with the line speed increase, and the abilitiy to run more Mustangs vs Mazdas, 180,000 per model year is attainable, maybe not for the '05 MY, but definately '06 MY

The number of Mustang's depends on who you ask. For instance, if you ask my local Ford dealer, they have the only 2 Mustang's that will be made for the next 37 years, which is why they are charging $32,000 for them.
