It really doesn't matter how many miles are on the car at the time it is delivered to you. I test drove a couple of GTs and the speedo (which includes the odometer as well) was disconnected for this purpose, salesman told me they reconnect at the pre-delivery inspection. Just make sure you thoroughly check the car when you pick it up.

Isn't that illegal?

Back in the early 60s Lincoln used to do a driving course on every new car as a part of the preparation from the factory to make sure everything was up to snuff.

158 miles on mine. It was driven from a Houston dealership to an Austin dealership. Curiously enough, the known distance from Houston to Austin is 150 miles. They swore to me it was driven by an older man who was very gentle with her. I still got a small discount for it though.

2300 miles on her now and she runs like a champ. I laid to waste an Eclipse last night...

2.2 miles off the truck, 12 miles after PDI and fill up when I took delivery. Closest gas station is about 6 miles round trip, so one would assume a 3.8 mile PDI road test
She has about 6800 miles on her now since December 16th

My stang had 33 miles when I "bought it", There was 3 miles on it when I got in the first time. I took it on an extended 30 mile test drive before I bought it. Technically, I knew after mile two of the test drive, I wanted the car, but I was having too much fun driving it to stop

I hate 60 mile roundtrips to work.
I know that pain, I drive 50 miles one way to work every day.

Mine had five miles on the clock. A good thing. Since I bought it from overseas military sales, the dealer did minimal prep. Just washed. No fuel in the tank. Aslo no dealer sticker on the car.

Had to stop at the first gas station on the way home.

Dealer claims they make no money when they deliver a car from military sales. That's OK. I got a great deal.

Mine had 5.6 miles on it. I was so glad that the dealer put almost a full tank in it. I picked her up on Wednesday just before Rita caused Houston to evacuate. All of the gas stations were out. I filled up on the way to work on Monday.

She is now at the Dealer for repair (750 miles). Bad injector was the diagnosis. It was missing really bad.

6.2 miles when it came off the truck. Salesman at the dealership had me follow him to the pumps the next night when I came to pick up my ride after PDI , etc. After waiting 7 months they didn't want to chance anything happening to my baby!

My info cluster was set to display kilometers when I picked up the car...and the car had 11 kilometers on it...but my dealership didn't notice that it was displaying kilometers, so it says 11 miles on all of the paperwork...really though, it should say 6.83508311 miles.
