OK, I've been searching and searching and can't find the answer: how do I track the status of my GT order by phone or online? I know there must be a way to do this!

Thanks,
Kevin

A VOC is a Vehicle Order Confirmation, and the DORA, Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement, comes to them shortly after the order is actually submitted. Your dealer should have the DORA, and be able to give you a copy of it. The dealer also gets updates on the progress of your order at least once a week.

The "number" can not be posted. Check your PM.

You need to use the search ket on here searching for the VOC. They will not tell you the #. It is a no no. Its one of those dont abuse #'s so its not going ot be advertised.

No sweat, and welcome to the site!! BTW - you will also learn very quickly about ERL. ERL is the "Evil Robot Lady". Sometimes she's nice, but I believe she prefers to be mean.

The 800# aka ERL is a "no abuse number" because it isn't for the general public it is the dealership number for order status and other production inquiries. You can, however, get it PMed by someone (which appears you already have) or just search for it on google. That is how I found it.

I got tired of getting no info over the phone from the sales guy ("I'll call you next week", but I always have to call him) so I actually drove to the dealership. The GM told me the order was pulled and it had a vin #, but he couldn't tell me what it was because their "computer was down" and to check back next week and they should have a "build week". From build week to deliver is 4 weeks. He was positive I'd get a 2005 (ordered 3/7/05).

At least this gave me the chance to look at a car in their lot and figure out what their dealer code is (not visible on my DORA). I then called the VOPC number about my GT and the evil robot lady, after a few attemps, eventually told me: "clean and unscheduled, not serialized."

What does that mean? Dose what the dealer said agree with the VOPC?

....I'm starting to get pissed seeing everyone driving their new stangs around in this sunny weather (although most of them are V6's)!

Cheers,
Kevin

The VOPC isn't updated regularly, your dealer may not be lying to you. I would keep calling the VOPC to verify what he said.

I have called the ERL and using my VOC all my info went through and she told me my vehicle was C/U. This is entirely expected seeing how late I ordered. But I was wondering or not whether the fact the ERL recognized my car on the system whether I should still check with my dealer for a copy of the DORA to make sure my order went through, or if the fact that the ERL told me it was C/U is enough? If the vehicle has not been ordered by the dealer would the ERL say something different? Thanks for the help.

Not dissing V6's, but the only thing that keeps me from going stir crazy watching all you V6ers is that I'll be faster when/if I ever get mine!

The fact that ERL is saying C/U does indeed mean your order is in the system. You still need the DORA to make sure it was entered to your specs though!
