Thumbs up

If you know the estimated arrivel date for your car, how close did it come to arriving on that date? I had an ETA of 10/30 provided by my dealer, but the car didn't come in. When I called Ford Cust service last week, they said the arrival range was 10/27 to 11/3, not necessarily 10/30. I'm not complaining, just wondering.

I know a lot of member's cars have supposedly been shipped and are way past the ETA, but for those that have taken deliverly, did the car come in when Ford said it would?

Jim,
No, not yet. She decided to wait for a while. Besides, with the IUP holdup on any new orders, it would be a long wait for it to possibly get in, and by then, there may be some in dealer inventories that could come somewhat close to what she would be satisfied with.
The main thing is that I have mine already. She needs to get an automatic, and said the V-6 would suit her just fine. That works for me also, since they are 5 grand less than a GT, and should be much more available for the mix of vehicles Ford wants to build.
GT's are in demand right now, and the v-6's I think will be plentiful, as more and more are being produced.
I had a couple of County Sheriffs looking at it when I was at the gas station yesterday. Asking lots of questions about it. The one asked if he could PLEASE sit in it, so I made his day and said sure. Might benifit me further down the road if we happen to meet again.
Have you received your's you ordered?

My ETA was 10/12 and mine still hasn't come in yet. The dealer has received numerous other ones, and can't tell me where mine is or anything. I picked up the window sticker already just to keep me from going insane.

I never got an ETA, but when I ordered (Aug9) it was "end of September"... Then the end of September came and it turned into the "middle of October"... then the middle of October came and it turned into the "end of October"... the end of October came and it turned into "your car is built, we're just waiting for it to get here and we'll call you."

Such fun...

The bad thing with ETA's is the expectations that they create. Anyways, 10/14, will have it next Monday.

Today is the last day of the range Ford gave me, and I doubt my car will make it either. There is a rumor of a truck transporter strike affecting deliveries to TN, but my dealer says they haven't heard anything about it.

Original ETA 10/18, then 10/21. It showed up on 10/27 about 1 hour after the regional manager said it would be another two weeks.

My eta was 7/30, then pushed back to 8/3, then 8/11, now 8/15. This is all over a two week period too. I've been three weeks away from my car for 14 days now. Any ideas? Its been built, just "in transit"

No harm in reviving a dead thread but this was for 2005 thru 2009 year Mustangs.
