It's for darn sure thats a good price. After all the BS i went through to get my '05 GT in May of '05. It's nice to see some good deals to start to come around, like on my '07 GT/CS.

What is x-plan and how do I get a pin?

Ford Employees receive 2 to 8 pin numbers each year to use or to give to friends. They can't possibly buy cars every year, so they give them away to their friends. You can become a friend of a Ford Employee and they can give your one. The easiest way to become a friend of a Ford employee is to find Ford employees forum on the internet. One popular one is www.blueovalnews.com . Ford employees talk about work there and welcome new friends. Go there and become a friend and post your x-plan pin request and they will send you one. It is that easy. Ford sells more cars, Ford employees make more friends, and you save on Cars. It is kind of a symbotic relationship.

Are any of these rebates available on vehicles other than Mustangs? I have a friend who is buying a Tahoe / Suburban. I've been trying to talk him into an Expedition EL.

I just searched through every Ford dealer in NC and VA. Found only 2 manual GTs. 1 redfire and 1 black. Ironically, both are at the same dealership: Crown Ford in Fayetteville, NC.

FYI: lots of automatic GTs out there. Didn't keep track of where those were located in NC and VA.

I called on that Columbia, SC blue 2006 manual GT. They are smoking something down there as they wanted to charge $1100 shipping cost to the buyer. Reason being was that it was sent to Saleen to do some work and then they brought it back before the work was done. On top of that, it has 1200 miles on it.

So let me get this straight. You want to charge me $1100 extra for a new car with 1200 miles on it? Please! They should have knocked an extra 1100 off for the mileage.

Mark, its totally true, but you won't find them anywhere online. The only way to see them is to have a salesperson print up the program sheet from VINCENT. If you want more info, just drop me a PM, and I'll be glad to help.

No manuals in Fayetteville, nor Simpsonville anymore.
The Fayetteville two were shipped to soldiers overseas after the dealer got them from another dealer.
That one Blue is still in Columbia. There is one in Charleston, SC. One Yellow Convertible.
Someone bought all five 06 Gt manuals from Palm Coast Ford, they were Roush conversions. A great way to buy a Roush Stg 1. $32.5k each.

Update:

On Christmas Eve, I took delivery of my new 06 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, nearly loaded, MSRP of $34300, with x-plan and rebates, it came to $27200. It was well worth the trip. Pictures coming...

Post your purchases!

rev,
my dealer is giving me problems with applying BOTH x-plan incentive and additional rebates all together to get that price of $21,940.

Your dealer honored all the incentives and rebates with no problem?

thanks much!

Might be interesting to some.
I've just received an email from the internet department at Cerritos Ford in Cerritos, CA saying that there selling all 2006/2007 Fords for $200 below invoice until 01/01/07. This offer excludes the Cobra, Navigator and MKX.
