I didn't like them at first, but the fact that you don't have to drill holes, and they are MUCH more compact than the Redlines, I'm thinking I may go with them. I suppose if the brackets are painted body color they will look much better.

Yep, I'm on the fence between these and the Redlines. I plan to have the car for many many years and may change my mind about struts or eventually they're going to wear out. Not too sure I want to drill holes and maybe have to fill them in and paint later. I'm leaning more and more towards the MRTs...especially after Jeff posted pics of the painted brackets.

Jeff, got those installed yet?

Here is my 3 step system: Primer, Red, and Clear Coat.

I found this particular Red to be a close match with Torch Red...

I'll take pictures once they are on the car...
Thanks for the paint info - I think I will try the same thing.

Anybody know the difference between the CDC and MRT kits? They look the same and are the same price.

Well, I'm sold. I'll be getting these. No drilling, no rivets (hate rivets), nothing in the way when working in the bay. Works for me. Thanks for the pics Jeff...

Did you see the ones I posted above?
Same price as redline but no holes to drill.
Also, no big brackets like the MRT/CDC struts.

Those look nice painted, and I like that they are out of the way as well.

I'm in pergatory until mine gets here in December and living vicariously through you all.
You're in Germany!!
Sounds like fun to me! ...especially when you get your Mustang over there.

Nice way to break it in on the Autobahn. :drive:

Hopefully they will get your baby shipped over there quickly. I loved having my car when I was stationed there.

They look much better painted. Just wondering, can you just drop the hood to latch it like the stock setup or do you need to give it an extra push with the gas struts?

Jeff,

Question came up in another Forum. Do the struts lift the hood by themselves at a certain point? For example, the Redlines; Lift the hood to a certain point, let go and it lifts completely open. Let us know how yours works.

Thanks....
