I never understood why a sunroof / moonroof isn't an option on the Mustang. I know some people say it is because it would hurt convertible sales, but I don't see someone who really wants a convertible being swayed by a moonroof... not even close to the same thing.

My dealer has a black 09 GT with glass roof on their lot -- we just looked at it tonight. On the black car, it's basically invisible from the exterior. But it's very cool from the interior. You can see a lot more daylight above you in your peripheral vision than you can in a typical moonroof.

It's got a warranty.

For the majority of the problems you might experience with the surface, they probably wouldn't be any different than the problems you experience on the windshield (or any other glass window). That includes the fixes to them as well.
