I am the new kid on the block. This is my first post so be gentle. I ordered a 05 gt on 9/12/04 has a MSRP of $26,367.00. My dealer says he can't give me my x-plan price until he gets the invoice from FoMoCo. Is this true or am I getting jerked around. Also has not been pulled to be built yet. Again I ask for your patience with me. Critisim is ok. All info will be appreciated.

 

He is jerking you around. The xplan price will show on the Vehicle Order Confirmation report before he ever places the order. I've got one in front of me (going to be placing the ordering tonight and the dealer faxed this over) and the xplan pricing is clearly labeled on it.

I'm no expert, but when I ordered mine, they gave me the x-plan price immediately. They knew what it was as soon as the order was filled out, I don't see why yours would be any different.

 

He definately has the X-Plan price on the Vehicle Order Confirmation. But, I would not jump ship yet. Did you get anything in writing that he is selling the car to you under the X-Plan? Did you put down a deposit? If so, you are still OK because he must show you the invoice and the official X-Plan price when the car comes in. Since most dealers are not giving X-Plans on the new Mustang, you might want to stick with him a little longer.

All the dealer has given me is the DORA.

 

You are able to get the number now and you should. There is a price increase coming next week and presold orders are price protected. So when you sign your paperwork make sure the actual selling price is on there not just the fact that you are buying at x-plan. So you know, I've got an invoice here for a vehicle with a $26,510 MSRP and x-plan is $24,557.29.

 

OK, on your DORA it should show an "Order Type: X" and "Price Level: 515". Also, there should be your name just before the " ** End of Dora **" line. If you got all that, you should be OK.

I ordered my car using an X-plan. My Vehicle Order Confirmation does not have the X-plan price listed it only has Retail price and Dealer Invoice. Did the dealer really order my car as an X-Plan?

I confronted my dealer after thinking about this and the information I received from this post and he re-entered my order as Order Type: x and I received a new copy of my DORA which had the x-plan price on it. If your order was submitted as x-plan the DORA will state x-plan and have the x-plan price noted on it. Name should be on it also.

 

I have no DORA, just a vehicle order confirmation...it has all 4 prices, dealer invoice, msrp, xplan, a/z/d plan...on the top it also says price level 515 and order type says, X, priority 10, cust/flt name has my last name....is all this legit and in order for me to get the car at the understood xplan price...and should they be charging me dock fee on top of the xplan price?
They are already charging me for FDAF assesssment 240.00,Gas 20.00, Dest and Del 640.00.

 

Interesting comments. My DORA also says Order type 1, but printout has X-plan price, and my order contarct was for the x-plan price, minus my 500 deposit. I did see that I have 540 price, even though it was ordered before the increase. All voodoo to me!
