Ask to see the invoice. It has the X-plan price on it and they're supposed to show it to you if asked.

Yep, on invoice the X is $26,259.77 on ours, I wish that A for friends would happen soon. Heck, I wish they would deliver the car soon!

How did you get the Xplan pricing to come up on FordDirect? Are you using it by going to forddirect.com or maybe going through AXZ website?

I was told by a few dealers several weeks ago that they would sell me an 05 Mustang at the X-Plan price when the cars come in, but now they say that they can't accept X-Plan on the first few shipments, but they will order one for me and accept X-Plan. Now for my question-when you sit down with the dealer and choose the model and options you want on the car does the dealer tell you how much the car will cost (MSRP/X-Plan), or do you have to wait until the invoice comes in?
I have a good idea what my car will cost already as I used the price list (invoice including holdbacks), picked the car and added delivery and options I want. Now all I have to do is meet with the dealer, give him a $500 deposit and place the order.

I go to the Ford Partner site first and log in using my employers partner code and then go to Ford Direct. I believe it sets a cookie that says I'm X-plan. It doesn't do it if I go to Ford Direct first.

They're only telling you that so they can sell the cars they're getting in first for a higher price. There isn't a reason they can't sell you one they alrady have on x-plan other than they don't want to.

When is the invoiced price sent to the dealer and at what point in the build process is the price fixed to the dealer?

The dealer can get the invoice and x-plan price at any point just by configuring the car in CONCEPS. As soon as the order in submitted, it is automatically price protect against increases. The actual physical invoice piece of paper is sent to the dealer right around the build date.

i have a few questions conserning x-plan: well i went to a dealer and when we were talking, he asked me what my parents occupations were. So i told him and he said that my dad might be eligable(<-spelling?) for xplan because he works in a plant. is this true because i thought it was only good for Ford imployees. Also he said with X-plan pricing the price of my car would come below invoice and would be the same at all dealers. Does this all sound right or was he feeding me some junk because i'm just a "young girl that doesn't know anything about them" also he said that people who work at mcdonalds(yes the fast food place) are eligible for x-plan also. can anyone verify these things? He then tried to say that the base price for the GT was 29,500 until i pulled out my price sheet and made him fumble for words!

I doubt the mcdonalds thing, but x-plan does extend to ford partners as well. Let your father look into it, you never know.

so this would mean over invoice? like if my car at invoice was 22,588(just a number) x-plan would make it 2% more than that?
