Question about car stereo volume

Does anyone know the default speed sensitive volume on the car stereo when we first bought it. The volume for the car when you drive faster the volume is higher.

I think the speed volume thing is off by default when you buy the car. I have mine set at 7.

the speed volume is defaulted to off, you need to turn it on in order for it to function.

What they said. I use 2 when the top is up and 5 when the top is down.

yeah... mine was off too... but I set it to 2. I don't know if the higher the number is, the more extreme the increase in volume.... I'm too lazy to look it up, and haven't really played with it.

While you are at freeway speed have a passenger turn it down to off. You'll hear the volume decrease.

The system shouldn't really be noticable. It should keep the volume at a good listening level as speed increases.

It's definately noticable in a vert with the top down. Wouldn't live without it.

If I remember correctly, 3 is the optimal setting listed in the manual. Been a while since I looked it up though.
