I attempted to change the trans fluid and filter myself. I did it correctly I believe according to every YouTube video, but after adding the fluid the car wouldn’t engage into drive or reverse. I added more fluid into the fill plug (more than the videos were stating needed to be added. Fluid was coming out of the fill plug rather than being topped off and dripping like it should have been) then it finally would engage into Drive and reverse. I had the car up to temp and in park running when I added the fluid. When I drive it now, it shifts weird. Sometimes it will not engage and the rpm’s will rise but the car will not move. Do you think I could still possibly be low on fluid? I’m scared to add more because I’ve already added more than I was supposed to in order to make it engage into drive or reverse. The trans was great beforehand btw. I was trying to do a good thing and keep up on preventative maintenance.
