My neighbor has an 05 V6 auto and is having problems with it but Ford cant figure it out, hook to comp and cant find anything wrong....

when coming to a complete stop the car acts like it goes into neutral and when the gas is depressed to go (no brake applied) the engine just revs and then after a while it will launch hard but late at a high rpm (great if they were drag racing but this is normal driving on the street) different drivers same problem, sometimes it doesnt launch it just stalls

anyone know whats up? any others experience this?

thanks

Rich, take a look at this thread, it MIGHT have some useful information regarding the tranny, even though this one's a GT. Best bet = taking the car to a dealer.

Acts like it's low on fluid.

Exactly what I was thinking low on fluid but the dealer should have picked up on that right away.

Sounds like something in th hydraulics of the tranny. They need a good automatic transmission guy/shop to look at it.

You might try checking for damaged linkage. The dealer should check for low or contaminated fluid. Also, converter clutch, valve body.
