The only things that light up are the icons for OFF, PARKING, and HEADLIGHTS. (and also that dim LED for foglights, if they are on and working)

Mine does - green color. It's pretty dim though.

Yes, it is supposed to light up, but the dealership refused to fix my problems.

What was their reason for not fixing it, that way I will know before I take mine to them.

They told me that they had done warranty work on it two times in the last six months and ford would not be warrantying it no more. The two things they fixed were a a/c leak and a foglamp whose bulb guard fell off and the other guard has feel off now. It was Billy Cain Ford in Cornelia Georgia, I would'nt tell anyone to go there.

You should contact Ford and complain + take the car to another dealer and have it serviced.

I had no idea there was a certain number of times a year that warranty work can be done. Sounds fishy to me and as said above , I would contact ford directly and ask for an explanation ...

As far as I know there are no limitations to the amount of times you can bring a car in for warranty service. I would get Ford involved for sure. I would never set foot in that dealership again. Have you talked to the Management at the dealership and let them know whats going on?

Call a local news station and have their "troubleshooter" contact the dealer for an explanation. I'll bet the threat of appearing on the local news will light a fire under their butts. Make them squirm, then take it to another dealer.

The whole time I have owned this car I have never got anything but run around from Ford and there dealers. I am currently exploring my route of action to take against these issues.

Sounds to me like that is exactly what that dealer is trying to avoid by limiting the number of warantee claims...definite

Your a pretty good ways from Atlanta, but Allen Vigil on the southside has been fantastic. They have never questioned any of the warranty work I have brought them. They open at 6 a.m. and usually get the work done pretty quick. I have had three warranty work items done without a question. Have never been at a dealership like them. Even take my car there to get serviced and I have never done that at a dealership before.

Ok, popped the switch out of the dash and there is a light bulb in the switch. It's a "stand alone" bulb that pushes in on the back of the switch. You can't miss it. It's a small plastic circle on the top of the back of the switch. Ford DOES NOT sell the bulb alone, you have to buy the whole switch at a cost of $106.00. The Ford parts guy was baffled at that move.

Someone post an image of the bulb with a ruler behind it so I can see what it is. My cars are in storage and I don't have access. I most likely can cross the bulb and get it for you. I have suppliers that are automotive suppliers as well.

Thanks,

Shaun
