It Has Been Fun But...

I have enjoyed this forum more than most I have ever been a part of. That said I am a Mopar Guy at heart and although the Mustang is one of my favorite cars, the new Challenger has been calling my name for some time now. So..... I sold my stang and bought a new 2009 Challenenger R/T.

I know I have commited the ultimate sin but I am hoping that the understanding group that you are you will forgive me or atleast understand. not trying to convert anyone but if you get a chance to drive a 6 speed Challenger, take it. I was lusting but after the test drive it was love!!!

Thanks for the great info you have all provided my over this past 2+ years. I learned alot and spent a bunch of money on mods thanks to this board. Thanks to Brad and crew for hosting such a great forum.

I have some accessories I will be putting up for sale soon, hopefully someone can use them. Some may even be free, depends what all I find in the garage when I clean it.

Below is a pic of the new car, I know I may be commiting another sin by posting a non-Mustang but I am excited and wanted to share.

Take Care & Happy Holidays,
Bob

No worries bud! Its a beautiful car. WORLDS BETTER than the new Camaro. I like this car also. Just wish it wasn't so heavy. Nice color by the way. The stripes look great!!!

Sweet car and I have been Mopar guy for a long time too. If I hadn't bought the Mustang one of those would be in my garage.

good choice in the challenger- definitely a nice car- couldnt believe how big it was when I finally saw one in person...I'm more than content with the 05~09 mustangs with the looks/performance/price, a lot of bang for the buck- but those challengers are sweet looking cars with tons of power- enjoy it
I think when the new camaro comes out the 010 mustang might have some serious competition- sounds like it will be priced competitive to the mustang and theres a lot of chevy guys out there...personally I feel the 010 redesign of the mustang wasnt quite as good as we'd all expected- not trying to knock the 09 to those that love it, but it just dont look as 'mustangish' as the 05 to me...enough that after seeing it, went out and bought an 09 to stash away

Congrats on the new ride. Awesome looking car! No need to apologize. You stayed with classic American muscle. Good luck with it.

yeah...I almost ordered it, but they couldnt guarantee employee pricing, plus it mighta arrived in the worst of winter...they found one on a lot, flat bedded it in, and I had it hauled home with 3.1 miles on the clock- unless something happens to my 06, its just gonna sit in the back of the garage undercover- I hate garage queens, but to me 'this is as good as it gets', and I'm sure there will never be a cheeper new V8 Mustang that looks as good as the current model for the same price- so I'll enjoy my 06 till its all used up and have a fresh start available for then...if I dont live that long, I think after even 10 years it will still be worth more than it cost, in 20, who knows...just love the car, love the color

No, that'd be if you bought a Camaro.

Gratz on your car, and as you obviously like Mustangs, don't be a stranger, k?

Thanks for the great comments guys, I knew you would understand. Car guys get other car guys and that is a beautiful thing. If I could have afforded it or convinced my banker (the wife) I would have kept my Mustang but I had to choose.

Happy Holidays,
Bob

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE my Mustang to no end, it's more than just a car to me so trading her in is NOT an option ever but having a Challenger as well would be great!

Enjoy your new ride & Happy Holidays!

No reason for being upset either, in fact, if I were able to afford 2 muscle cars. The new Challenger would definitely be sitting beside my 05 GT.

In the meantime, if you don't mind me asking. How much did your dealer charge you, for your new Challenger R/T ? As I'm really curious.
