I haven't seen a post with build dates, Oasis specs. It's now past the Job 1 scheduling date, so I assume somebody has gotten their build date. I just ordered my '08 two weeks ago, and wanted to be sure there were others who had already gotten the info. Then I can hassle my dealer.

 

Is the Job 1 Scheduling date different from the Job 1 date(25 Jun)?

 

Yes. Scheduling started May 16th or 17th, depending on who you ask.

I take it that no one has received their '08 build date yet then. My dealer says the order has been placed, but Ford has not given them a date.
I'm a little anxious, because one of the sales guys mentioned " '07's are still on the lot" and another said later "They're still building '07's." As though that should affect my '08 order in any way?

 

Dealer told me mine was scheduled to be built on/around 28 June, but ERL doesn't show anything yet. 07s will be built right up until 22 June.

I think 28 June seems optimistic based on my vin # (in the 7 thousands) and the July 4th related factory shutdown. Based on this I would think it would be built in late July. Add a week for completion, 2 weeks for quality control and 2 weeks for shipping and I anticipate it will be late Aug before I get it.

 

Don't worry about talk like that, my '07 was delivered on 6/26/06. At the time, the dealer has tons of '06s on the lot and they were still receiving more from the factory buildout. It took several weeks before they started to get '07s for regular stock. If you have an order in the system, and it's scheduled, it'll be built. The date might fluctuate a bit until the actual build week, but once you're locked in, you're in. Then the only question is whether or not the car will leave the plant before they do their shutdown for 4th of July. My car made it (luckily) but last year's job one date was in early june vs. this year's later june. Good luck, you're gonna love the stang!

 

Yeah I ordered mine on 5/31, got the VIN on 6/5, the VOPC said it's scheduled for the week of 6/25... hopefully see it buy Aug.

 

Is there anyone on this forum who can help me find out this information (VIN, Scheduled build date, etc...) like others have? My salesperson is out today and I ordered my 2008 Grabber Orange GT on 5/26/2007.

I still haven't received final word on 2008 pricing. Has Ford relased 2008 pricing yet?

Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement. Sounds like you have the info you need, you should be good to go.

 

Jeez, you're lucky. Just confirmed my fears. I ordered my car May 14. Dealer implied they wouldn't be ordering it immediately at the time. Early this week, he said he'd have the info next week. I just called VOPC, and the order is not in the system.

 

A couple of things were different than I expected when I called VOPC. 1) There was an initial voice message, not too evil, then I talked with a real person. I was expecting ERL. 2) They asked whether I was the customer or the dealer. I assume if I had said "customer" they would have said get lost or given me a different number to call?

 

I would believe ERL or Ford over what the dealer tells you.
I ordered my car 10/20/04 over the phone and told the dealer I would come in and give him my deposit when they got my paperwork and VIN.
on 11/4 I went to the dealer and when I looked at the DORA I noticed it was priority 20, and when I asked about that he said 'doesn't matter at this point as the car is already being built as of 10/27.
I had been doing research here and on other boards so I knew the dealer was wrong as orders with my options were on hold.
I got home and called Ford and they told me the same thing 'car is on a delay for unknown reasons'.
Car was on a delay until late November/early December before scheduled for build. (dates below)

In regard to scheduling and build dates. My car was scheduled for build WEEK OF 12/13/04 which meant the car would be built sometime between Monday 12/13 and Saturday 12/18.
Car was built and shipped per ERL on 12/14 and arrived 12/28, so I doubt you would have to worry about a week for completion and two weeks quality control (unless they find something wrong), but the shipping time sounds about right.

looks like your dealer is jerking you around, should show up right away. Most of then can't be trusted, I went back to a dealer I knew even thowe there are 7 closer ones just for that reason, he put it in priority 1.

 

Called the dealer today and they were able to get me my 2008 Mustang GT VIN number and my order Status is "Sub to Plant".

Can anyone tell me how these new VIN's breakdown? Mine is 1ZVHT82H185108800.

I also added HID Headlamps and the Ambient Interior Lighting to my order today, provided it would not delay the build. You have to take the Active Anti-Theft option if you go with the HID Headlamps.

 

Yours is the 8800th vin issued. Since they build about 13-14000 per month, your's should be built sometime in July. Just a rough wag so dont' hold me to it.
T82H means you ordered a Mustang GT coupe. The "H" (after the T82) is code for 4.6L 3v
1(1st digit)= US. I forget the rest
