You all know I was nuts in love with competition orange, but I managed to hold off from going insane because I knew the 05 was coming!!! I was kind of poed that orange was an 04 only color, but hey....theres others.

The Dealer 10 minutes from my house has so many 05s I have just become desensitised. They are there, they will be there when I get there still. Cool. Its like the day after Christmas now.

This weeks haul was a bunch(truck comes on Mondays), including a sonic blue and redfire. As I was going Christmas shopping yesterday I noticed something odd. Parked next to each of them was a vehicle in the same color 04 vintage, and the owner standing looking really really wistful at the 5s. Those poor people bought beautiful 2004 mustangs, and now realize- OOPS should have waited.

What it seems to me, those who already have mustangs, and want 05s seem to want to go with the same color they had before.

But in the good news- they are definitely all over now, and its not an OH CRAP get one before they disappear thing anymore. And since I noticed the manual was built......... That's one more down for me. Eleanor will go on a nice beach vacation this summer.

I had a guy pull up next to me yesterday and say "I love that car, how long have you had it, etc etc etc". Ends up 3 months ago he bought his 2004 GT vert and now wants to trade it in on a 2005 coupe. He had not seen them before and now regrets buying his.

Actually I bought my 2001 Roush in August and had no regrets about waiting for the 05. I'm thinking in a few years I may possibly jump into an 06 or 07...just a different view

Going from a 2001 to a 2005 isn't bad, I try to buy a new vehicle every 3 years anyway.

April...if you're seeing 'groves' of '05's on your dealer(s) lots, then is there chance that they are V-6's? Just curious, because here in the Northwest, the GT's are gone nearly as soon as they are off of the truck (and alot of times before). If you're seeing a pick-of-the-litter situation with GT's in Alabama, consider yourself fortunate.

No, the very few GTS I have seen have been price gouged and off the lot before they get comfy sitting there.
Its droves of 6es though. So many I don't even get gaga over em anymore.

Ooh if you didn't know about the 05 and bought an 04......I felt bad for em.

Talked with a guy last night that recently spent 45k restoring his 65. He told me if he had known these were coming out, he would have waited.

No pics, was in front of the mall picking up the wife and daughter. I'm sure his ride is sweet though. Just in a different way.
