Has anyone actually taken delivery of a 2005? It seems to me that Ford's marketing has fallen short. Too much hype and not enough real information. I bought a 64 1/2 Coupe new in May of 64(still have it) and the anticipation of April 17th,1964 made the introduction an event. The dealers don't know when cars will be in nor do they have brochures and mine didn't have pricing until I gave to him from Brad's website. It seems that there was an opportunity that's been lost. Nashville in April would have been the perfect intro date. The true 40th Anniv.

Rome was'nt built in a day.....Excuse the sarcasm but if you've been following the whole process, it's going along remarkably well. I'm confident our cars will be here very soon I see your point about the 40th, but I'd rather they get it as RIGHT as possible rather than release with known issues.

I am a salesman at the local Ford dealership here in Kentucky. We had two mustangs "shipped" to us two weeks ago today. We have no idea where they are but they should be here any day. I have all the pricing and everything available, but no car.

I've been on the lookout here in the Mass/Rhode Island area for several weeks - larger dealerships. I finally found one on the showroom floor at Herb Chambers Ford in Braintree, MA. According to the salesman, it arrived on Wed. 10/20. It is supposedly unsold - grey GT Premium package, interior upgrade. Sticker shows $26 and change...of course then there's the additional "adjusted market price" of $5,000!! Let the gouging begin. He seems to think it will be gone by Saturday - yeah right. He was kind enough to provide a brochure. The back of it is cool with a list of many Mustang clubs. Ford still has a boat load of '04's to get rid of wherever I look.

I just picked up my Grey/Red 2005 GT last night. The car has every option except the automatic transmission. Sticker was $29,120. Since they were able to put it on last month's business I was able to buy it for $28,620. It was a great deal but an even better car. This is my fifth Mustang but by far the best. Even better than my 1995 Cobra R. For all of you that have one of these on order it is worth the wait. Enjoy!

I just got word from a friend of a friend at Flat Rock final assembly that mine went to the carport. Does anyone know how to track it to the dealership? How long does it take to get delivered. I've asked the salesman and he is gonna check on status - next week but man am I anxious to see my new baby...

Not too long - IT'S IN!! I drove her tonight, still in her bubble wrap bumpers!
I take delivery tomorrow. She looks great and I can't wait to feel her power.
You can't believe how great this is...
Oh maybe you can - since you've owned a Mustang before.
It defines 'an awesome ride'.
