Parts of it I could see happening. I don't know about some of the physical stuff though. Maybe Charlie will chime back in and let us know....

I would have been just as upset with the guy, don't know if I would have gotten as physical as you did. You never know what kind of charges could be brought against you, you know if it really happend.

You should write a novel....

I just wasted two minutes of my life that I will never get back.

either way it stirred up some emotions here on TMS, I thought it was a good read, fictional or not.

In his signature he has a quote from Edgar Allen Poe. So that right there shows he might be into writing. :geek: Good story though. If I had kids I'd be reading that as a bedtime story to them tonight.

If it is fiction, why involve the name and location of the dealership?
I thought maybe the name and location is a fabrication as well.

Nope. There is a dealer by that name in that town. I'd either remove the name if it's a work of fiction or remove the disclaimer if it's a true story.

Putting a dealer's name on a fake negative story is not a good move.

Of course it's fiction #2... no one buys Motorcraft filters from a Ford Dealer when you can get them at Wal-Mart for $2.50!

Fact or Fiction, my friends. It was a good show hosted by Jonathan Frakes (he was Commander Riker in Star Trek, I think). In the show, they told you a story, and you decided if it was fact or fiction.

One clue: I do work out frequently.

Glad to see that so many of you enjoyed my little "story."

Whether the events described in the first post is true or not wouldn't effect the reputation of this dealership anyway. Any dealership within 20 miles of the NJ shore is pure sleaze. I'm sure most fellow NJ shore residents will back me up on that.

Larson Ford Sucks...the service Dept swapped out the brand-new brake pads my father put into my Mom's Taraus Station wagon and did several other $%&#ed up things...they never went back there again.

I do not know of any true Mustang owners that are as hostile and quick to lose there cool. Also, I do not know of any that would not want to show off there car if someone showed interest. Now if he had said he owned a Camaro, I might believe it.

I think it might be slightly pumped up when written but sounds perfectly reasonable. If some sleazoid dealer kicked your car's hood and you don't have the ***** to do anything...well good luck nice guy.

Is this a joke?

I think it was well written and thoroughly enjoyable...so what if it's fact or fiction? Chances are he took some artistic freedom and embelished a little.

Regardless, nice story!
