wire the car to the mains, that'll warm their hands if they try it again!
Thats pretty nice of you to think about keeping them warm. it must have been cold out there that night. If you don't cater to a thief, they can sue you.

I watched one of those police chase shows last night. I was thinking of how terrible it would be to have your prized vehicle stolen and wrecked by some idiot. If that wasn't bad enough, you watch this show, and there is your car on the show being chased and filmed by the police video. So you get to remember the pain all over again.

Sorry to hear the misfortune Marylene..... If you'd have had the press-on spinner caps on your rims, they probably would have stolen those too! If I catch any vandals defacing my property.....they will be waking up with cuffs on and in a cop shop, and that's after the beating prior to the phone call I will make.

Couldn't you just pull it off yourself, then Super-Glue it back on so it's a heck of a lot more difficult to take and may make them think twice?

Looks like a stealth pony to me. Technology is amazing.

Adrenalin

I read about those South African anti carjacking flamethrowers. You are speaking the truth.

In the USA you would be put in jail for defending your property...Blue states that is.

I first saw those flame throwers in a documentary on Africa where they were having a high rate of carjacking so they brought in a bunch of these kits from the UK. Pretty nasty stuff....I like em

This makes me MAD!! I feel for you, big time! Then my husband wonders why I fear putting a lousy "Jack in the Box" antenna ball on my car figuring some low life will steal it!! Trivial compared to stealing the "name-sake" off of your pride and joy. I feel bad, but feel even worse about the losers who took it. Hope they leave your Stang alone from now on.

One of my former employees was an accountant that had just moved here from South Africa. The flamethrowers are apparently not as good as the new thing they are using. Car jackings in South Africa generally involve the driver being shot and or killed most of the time. The flamethrower apparently allowed someone to get a shot off at times. The new vehicle defence system is a spring loaded bar that sits under the side of the doors between the wheel wells. It is spring loaded and it sweeps out at shin height with extreme force breaking the legs/shins of anyone in its path. Hard to explain but imagine it like a door pivoting on its hinge and swinging out at shin height. His family was quite wealthy in South Africa and had these installed, apparently extremely effective. Yes it sounds brutal but car jackings are a daily and deadly experience.

I've had badges stolen of pretty much all my cars too, someone even broke into one of my cars and stole the badge off the dashpad.

What comes around goes around I guess, when I was a kid 25 years ago I had a boxfull of badges in my bedroom, can't really remember why we took them, it was just something to do

Sure Hiss at me if you like, I bet everyone here is a saint

What I think is worse is the Mustang owners who remove the symbols themselves. Whats the deal with that? Are you ashamed of your Mustang/Cobra?

Blue states? Do the laws involving assault vary between states? I wasn't aware of that! Yikes. I guess we're not as united as we would have people believe. I'd want to live in a state where you could kill someone that tried to take your car... heck, even deface it!
