Handeling and Lower springs question?

I want to lower my car by about and 1" up front and back. I am lost here and need to know.... in the midwest for ride and handeling (SCCA type)what type of springs should I go with for the V6. What am I looking to pay for the new springs with install? Will LCA's help with ride or is it more for preformance?
I know these are broad questions but I have no idea where to start with this info.

Here is a little tech writeup I just posted

The same things apply for V6 cars, although the choices for sway bars/struts shocks may be different.

Any lowering spring will help with performance. it sets the center of gravity lower to the ground, so the sheer physics are there. As far as ride quality, you will never have the nice Cadillac feel in a lowered car, so why even worry about it. You get used to the bounces after a while.
