hmmm, after paying the price for the mustang and what they want for the 6.0l install I think I would rather buy a different car than put all that money into a GT stang.

Yeah, these guys are unbelievable.

21k to install a Cobra engine into your brand new 05 Mustang?? Who's actually going to do that? That's almost the price of the car.

I don't think the guys at Sean Hyland have really looked at what they've put up on their website. A lot of the 2005 is not even finished and they all ready have engine conversions the first item on their list. They do have some suspension upgrades, but it seems that they haven't really thought their so-called "power packages".

I just wonder who they're marketing this to.

There's idiots everywhere, I'm sure they'll make enough money off those engines...

Guys, I've actually visited SHM about a year ago, and they really know what they're doing.....there were Saleens, Roushes, SVT's, you name it, from all over North America there. What what I've heard, they are the #1 4.6L modifier in North America. I asked about superchargers for my Cobra, and the tech there told me they've pulled a reliable 1,200hp out of the 32v 4.6......mind you, that's some serious cash and engineering to do that , but still......yikes!

Yeah IIRC, SHM was the first big name in the 4.6 biz. You've got Foxlake and Anderson Ford motorsport, Riechard Racing, D.S.S, ect.

Although it looks like SHM is at the forefront???

Ford wants 14k for thier 5.0 cammer motor (400 hp)

I would hazard a guess that SHM's customer base has little problem buying a cobra, saleen or roush. so they dont have to cater to the budget crowd.

the 2v and 3v engines are for the regular guys and the budget (I use this term loosely) parts suppliers. Which dont bother me a bit.

The Cammer comes out of the crate with over 400hp... like 430 or so and it's tuneable to 500 without any mods. That's $14K and they want what.... 19 for the crate motor? Perhaps they're just applying a stupid tax and are just waiting to see who's willing to pay it.
I've seen these guys kick out som pretty fair deals over the year.... difinitly know what they're doing.... but this is idiotic.

Sean Hyland is the bigest @#$%%#@. He burn't a chip and did some tuning on my 93 GT, but when I called him to let him know the tune wasn't working right he got furious and said he didn't have time for that "old crap" and too bad. Do your self a favour and don't ever buy anything from this crook.

SHM is one of the premier Mod engine builders but also very proud of his services, too proud for me and my budget.
