The Canadian dealers may have finally come to the end of thier GT backlogs. Here in AZ, GT's here are still selling within hours, I'm guessing that the local dealers are turning their V6's within a week or two of delivery. It's not that the v6's are bad, it's just that there's more inventory of them to go around.

I can't wait for our GT backlog to clear up - you can't even find one long enough for a test drive around here!

With the weather up here I am assuming that Mustang sales are deathly slow.

I am sure they will sell much quicker again once the snow melts.

Still nary a GT 'round these parts. Loads of V6's though. Like to see at least one GT for every two sixes on the lot. Maybe next year!

I don't mind the v-6 cars at all, but they really shouldn't guzzy them up like that unless the car has the guts to back up the look. Just think of the kids out there in the Civics with the 10' wings and blaaaa pipes. Most of us laugh at them. Too much stuff hanging off a v-6 'stang will undoubtedly draw the same response.

Lets leave them subtle.

Interesting, I've seen dealerships in Richmond trying to move V6s off the lot by adding upwards of $6K of accessories and stripes. Today, I saw one dealer add a ducktail, rear window covers and a host of (godawful) stripes to the car, bringing the car's price from $23K to $29K. I kid you not. They didn't have any GTs on the lot, but other lots in Richmond have 3 at most at any given time.

Around Indy the GTs are scarce. V6s are easy to find. GTs are selling right off the auto rack...

By the time any of the dealer websites are updated, the GTs are gone.

Where I live they can't keep either one [ 6 or 8] on the lots, and I have 2 ford dealers within 20 miles of each other. I was lucky when I got mine, came off the truck that day only had 2 of 4 left, and I got the color I wanted. Had no time to order one, since the car I was driving was a piece of s***. The other car sold while I was there.

No local dealers seem to have any GT's, but that seems to be more due to Ford not giving them any, than them selling everything they get right off the truck. Is Ford still holding a bunch back? I see more 03 Cobras on the road than I do 2005's (of any flavor, GT or V6) and supposedly there should be at least three times as many 05's on the road by now. Ford must have a big parking lot somewhere with 15000 GT's in it...

I see plenty of 05's driving around here. They have about 5 V6's at Mike Shad Ford last I checked.

Door moulding may not look that great but common have you noticed the size of the parking spaces here , and the high number of seniors that really don't care if they happen to want to walk far and do park beside you wack it when they get out. Think of them as insurance. and No they are most certainly not required in Canada it is an option that I for one added for what I have wittnessed here.

I don't like the stripping either. They are not wide enough and not far enough apart.
The dealership here has stripped a couple GT's here and IMO they really messed the car up. They also asked 1K for the stripping.

I'd like to see that ducktail.
Can you get a pic?
What did it look like?
Can you find out who made it?
Hey StangNut,

I posted a few pix on a topic called "Would You Pay $29K For This?" Hope it answers some of your questions!

Hey John, I just got back on and saw your message. I posted a few pix of the Ducktail in a topic called "Would You Pay $29K For This?". I took quite a few pix, since I don't normally go near that dealership, but I'd be happy to post more if you like.

I have yet to see a GT sit on the lot for more then 3-4 days anywhere in my area.

Tons of people don't want stripes either, and those stripes are sort of... crap :/
