All three Ford dealers here have GTs in stock, ready to roll. One's even a sweet Sonic Blue with white stripe combo. Very nice! The V6's seem to be flying off the lot though... maybe it's the wrong time of year for a V8 ponycar?

Interesting, I've seen dealerships in Richmond trying to move V6s off the lot by adding upwards of $6K of accessories and stripes. Today, I saw one dealer add a ducktail, rear window covers and a host of (godawful) stripes to the car, bringing the car's price from $23K to $29K. I kid you not. They didn't have any GTs on the lot, but other lots in Richmond have 3 at most at any given time.

I'd like to see that ducktail.
Can you get a pic?
What did it look like?
Can you find out who made it?

Another car was a Torch Red with IUP and the red leather seat inserts... kind of what you're planning on buying in the future!

I really hate it when dealerships do that...

To each his own but those stripes look awful, oh and I see they put those lovely body side moldings on it too...

Door moldings are required in Canada.

Not required, I've seen a number without the bodyside mouldings... it's a $90 option. I do agree that they look hideous though!

For you, fellow TMS member, I will do all of the above. I can tell you the ducktail was a welcome change from the spoiler. It actually looked like it came from the factory that way. It was black, and painted to match the car. I will try to get more information on it from the dealer staff. The pic will be the easy part, but the dealership is 27 miles south of Richmond proper, so I'll have to see if I can work a trip to the "south side" tomorrow.

Agree on the stripes. At LEAST make them go all the way down the front and back of the stinkin' car! I could go on to say they are too close together and narrow as a #2 pencil. I love Orthoguy's stripes on his black GT. That should be the standard for "great" racing stripe placement. Just an opinion out of many, of course.

Ugh....skinny stripes and not enough gap between them. Put some 10" wide stripes with a 1" gap and bring the stripes all the way down and your good to go.

Thanks, CelticCub
I'm sure there will be a lot of people interested in having more than one ducktail to choose from.
Right now we've only heard from CDC and even though it's not out yet there are already complaints about it.
Man, we're a picky bunch.

Yes. We need them for when we open the doors against a moose or polar bear

The Xenon ducktail is also available. They have it listed at www.californiamustang.com.

Dealers tend to order them over here, but I didn't with mine. I don't like the way they look at all. I just pray to the dent gods for protection.

REALLY??

Everytime I go look at the dealers around here they've only got one GT, if any, and all the rest V6's. I have noticed that they have been added a lot of extras to the V6's too.

I remember when the 94's came out, I could go to the dealers and there would be at least 10 GT's on the lot with the V6's.

Interesting... It doesn't seem like V6's are selling too well here. There are at least 8 at every dealership...and no GT's.

Sorry but I must say . They are way too narrow and don't even go down the entire bumper
