Just spoke to my dealer, who is also a client of mine, so I assume this info is correct.

The dealer principal contacted Ford last Friday about the delay of my car. GT Vin # 102052. What he was told was that 2000 GT's that were being held will be released the week of 10/25. He asked if there was any factory recalls, etc., & was told "no." Apparently the cars were just held in the system. So I am confident that the "weld issue" is just a rumor.

So I'm hoping, as I know many of you are, that our cars will be in soon.

 

I really, really, really hope so...I'm starting to go a little impatient. Mine's 100680, built the week of 9/7 and since then, no one can tell me where it is.

I sold my brother my 01 a few weeks ago so I've been stuck driving my first Mustang (94 V-6) that he had...it's not fun.

I hope you get your GT soon, but don't get your hopes up. I've heard that there are thousands of '05 Mustangs in holding lots. It's going to take several weeks for Ford to sort them out and get them shipped.

 

I really hope your right because if i have to wait much longer i might have to just test drive one like i stole it :drive:

 

This is probably true. My GT was on "quality hold" until the end of last week when it was released. VIN ending 105101, the order processing system said it should be here on Wednesday...we'll see!

 

Mine was on hold too...but I didn't get any kind of status change as far as I know. It was supposed to arrive on 10/18, but had a "maintenance check" on 10/19.

Hope it gets here soon...<sigh>. I've already seen 4 of them on the road around where I live.

 

yup, or original two stangs were ordered months ago and sat stagnant, they both come in tomorrow.

 

Nope, still on hold here... I refuse to lose the IUP though.

 

Does the VIN really go in order?

The last 6 digits of mine is 119008...

 

It has been said that the VINs aren't sequential but they're pretty close.

 

That'd be interesting to query - the VINs of those who've taken delivery.

 

You're far off, mine is coming this week with a VIN ending 105101

I hope your right....Mine is also the quality hold and the vin is 102108....Kinda in between everybody waiting. Dealer also said that when he talked to ford they told him the end of this month or EARLY november, whatever that turns out to be...Hope ya all get yours soon.

 

I sure hope this is right. I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to take delivery finally. I ordered June 13th. Its about time/.

 

Well to add to this, I went to my dealer today and while sitting in the sales area bs-ing with the staff the regional manager called the store general manager. And as usuall, they put the guy on speaker. The regional manager told them to keep checking the order bank for staus of mustang orders due to them being pushed ahead of what has been currently listed because they are pushing them out fast. So start calling your dealer, there may be hope on the horizon.

i checked last night an the status of my car had not changed yet.

VIN 103766. i'll keep checking throughout the week. i really hope this is true, i needs it!
