You can also get one from Ford if you don't mind paying more. I'm sure some of the guys on here that have it installed can tell you the differences in material, installation, and cheapest vendor.

Yep, www.atlantamustang.com and also DG custom auto too.
Got mine from www.atlantamustang.com and the color matched perfect and I am very please with it.
The Ford one is the only one I know of that does not require drilling. Even still I went with the one from DG Custom. Came prepainted, looks great, fit perfect. Drilling the holes wasn't that bad. A few beers calmed the nerves, and it went fine.

THIS is why I hate my local dealership! We can order a part from KC (a guy few of us will ever meet face to face) and he will cut us a deal on this stuff, when my LOCAL dealership who I just dropped over $500 buck on for a scheduled service tells me "They run a little over 300..." When I ask if he can do better than OVER MSRP, like 10-15% off, he immediatly asks if they are going to do the paint on it. Why does that matter? So that if they cut me a deal on the part, he can gouge me on the paint? Sure enough when I ask what it would cost to have it painted, he tells me "$200-250" JEBUS CHRISTOS! I mention that I can get it from another dealership that I haven't spent any significant amount of money in for over $40 LESS than his best, and figured they might be able to at least match what KC could do for ONE OF THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS, he tells me "If someone is selling it that cheap, I'd take it. We won't go under MSRP"

Makes you appreciate the folks we have here...
I think I'll be calling other local dealerships that might want a new customer when it comes to services if they can make a customer feel like they actually want their business.
P.S. These all look great, although I'm not wild about drilling holes... Does the 3Dcarbon one require extra drilling? I thought it didn't but I could be wrong...

according to the 3Dcarbon one, you don't drill anymore holes, only have to cover two of the factory holes so they don't seep in moisture. according to them, it is held on by two sided tape and 2 of the factory holes. anybody verify this before i order. i don't want to drill more holes, but will if i absolutely have to. thanks
Yes, There are 4 holes in the spoileer. Two where the factory spoiler went and two on the ends that CAN be used if you want to drill the holes. I did NOT drill the two holes on the ends. There is doubled sided tape ALL the way around so, I used the two factory holes and the 3M tape. It seems very secure to me and the ends are not lifting or moving. I will keep an eye on it, but I am very please with the 3D spoiler. As a precaution I filled the two holes on the spoiler with Silcone and also did the same with the two remaining factory holes. I will check those periodically as well to make sure that no mositure is getting inside the trunk lid. So far, so good.
thanks NJJOE, that's what i thought. i am going to have my graphics guy cut me two pieces of vinyl to cover the two holes, one so that it is silver under the spoiler and two so that i know no moisture will get in the trunk. i will also fill the screw holes in the spoiler and only use the tape to hold the ends down as well. if two sided tape can hold scoops and louvers and body moldings, surely it will hold a light spoiler...
KC = 05stangkc. He is a Ford parts guru out in Cali that a lot of us order from. Check him out.

Great Price
I had the 3D Carbon spoiler but I'd read the ends can lift which is why they put provisions for screws to be used on each end. I ended up selling mine because I had suspension mods I wanted to use the money for. If I were to do it over again I'd buy the real deal here and have it painted along with my mirrors. http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS
The advantage to this spoiler is it's a direct replacement and uses the same mount holes. No chance to screw anything up.

KC sells the 3dCarbon pre-painted if you want. Also, If you do buy a 3dCarbon GT500 spoiler, plan on drilling the extra holes, so that there's no chance it will lift, as most do. I know this from experience! KC also sells the OE GT500 spoiler, however, it only comes "paint to match", which means that it must be painted, so if you go this route, maybe he could have one drop shipped directly to your body shop. Also, there the DG GT500 spoiler, which KC doesn't sell, that comes pre-painted, which looks just as good as the 3dCarbon spoiler, but the extra holes towards the ends are slightly further inboard, which IMO is better.
